  • Sudden death a positive

I honestly think there are some positives out of playing sudden death from now.

There will be no complacency, which may have been an issue last night.

If we can't beat the Cows then we don't deserve to be in the last four anyway.

I think we will be too good for them.

We would then have the biggest match of the year against Souffs a week earlier which will be less stressful than playing them in a GF.

Would be magic to knock them out, and we have shown that we produce in the bigger games.

If we make the GF we would be playing Penrith, Manly, Dogs or Melbourne.

Those four teams are very beatable.

    Easts to win.

My only worry is how much energy do the boys have left. They were starting to look tired towards the end of last nights game.

If we still have enough left in the tank then we're still a huge chance.

This Cowboys game will be very tense. We don't want to go out in straight sets. But if we manage to win then we're the Prelim Kings and Souffs will be dreading a match up with a fully fit Premiers.

                All aboard!!!!!!!!!!!

The best thing for us is that the Cowboys are playing so well. Our boys will be in under no illusions that they have to be at their best to have a chance. And that would bring us to Souths. What would be better than being the team to ruin their season.

                All abooooaaarrrdddd!!!!

Maybe 1 completed set from our first 7 and a 53% completion rate overall which led us to only having 46% possession contributed???

While we were reamed by the officials we did ourselves zero favours with such low completions.

Good thread Vasco. I reckon the Cowplods are gonna feel some major heat. IMO our boys will be really dirty on their game last night and may just want to prove to everyone that was an aberration.

                  Hope so anyways.

The great sides of 1974/75 went to sudden death after losing their first games, no reason why the 2014 side cant also.

                          Well spotted Horrie!

IF we can field the majority of our best 17... and that includes Friend, Cordner, JWH, Guerra now back... then there's no reason we can't win our two games.

Meanwhile the Dogs are caning the Storm.

Geez that's a good side of the draw.

If we get to the GF we'll be battle hardened and unbeatable imo.

In fact who ever comes out of our side of the draw will win this

Not many people would have known that.

                              Go Easts.
