According to Hadley on 2GB just now...Maloney wasn't on the field when one of our tries was scored and therefore wasn't entitled to take the conversion kick, which was successful.
Hadley said that Maloney had gone off injured and was still on the sideline when the try was scored.

Hadley said that had we won the match we would've lost anyway...illegal conversion.
...or the game would've had to be replayed.


Charming...now we don't even know the rules and stuff something else up.

Maloney was well entitled to take the kick, as he came back on the field before the try was awarded due to it going to the video ref.

Yes. That was a blunder that should have been dealt with before he had a chance to kick.
It really has become a circus with the rules & admin.

He just insisted that it was when the try was actually scored, ...when the ball was forced...was when Maloney had to be on the field.

They'd better hurry up and decide what the rule is...because a major match soon could depend on strict adherence to the rules as written in the rule book...as happened with the Eels ball boy incident recently.

But I love how the media use it as a smokescreen to cover up the other refereeing errors and interpretations in that match which didn't go the riff battlers way

and if these minions like Hadley and co conspire to make us illegal then the nrl might well have a massive legal case on their hands with the premiership pending the outcome? Our club has the knowledge and resources to conduct such a case, probably better than the nrl to defend one?

and further to that the apparent rule book has been hotchpotched so much lately it would never stand up in a court of law, this would then lead on to referees interpretations rather than compliance with those rules, an argument the nrl will never want to have with the qcs in rwb!there would be lots of red faces and resignations at drivers avenue?

There was no reason to risk it as Hastings was on for Maloney and he's a solid goalkicker and the kick was beside the posts, the whole thing was just weird, just have Jacko slot it then Maloney runs on for him at the kick-off.

Well a try is a try when it is awarded. We would have had a fair case to argue as he came in before it was awarded.

On this ocassion we were within the rules At least I think we were Watch though for this to be rightfully changed to this not being allowed to happen again We have broken no rules just used a loophole left open by the rule makers HOW DARE THE ROOSTERS DO SUCH A THING

Just another reason to show the referees have absolutely no control.

The rules would never have stood up to a court of law as with many sports the bottom line is that its the interpretation by the officials that are the overruling rules
