I can't see the point of releasing him to another NRL side. He is sure to come back and make the club look silly.

No doubt he will make us look silly in the the one game he plays against us - the same way he made the doggies look silly in that one game in 08. I am sure that, taking the long view, the dogs are well over that one game and happy that he went - we will be too.

When a player believes he is bigger than the team then he is no use to the team. This seems to be Mason's terminal problem.

Whether he sits out the season or plays somewhere else the club is better off without him. The fact that they know this, internally acknowledge the error of siging him and are cleaning house can only be good for us all!!

This is a great post. Exactly right.

The dogs are not missing him at all.

He will play out of his skin for the games against us and then go hiding for the rest of the reason. We wont beat manly anyway even if they didnt have him so it would not bother me if he starred against us playing for them. As long as he is nowhere near our club then I am happy.

Manly will struggle this season, mark my words. When Choc and Kieran Foran are in the running for captaincy, you know you're struggling.

          Isn't it Watmough and King?

I've read they are considering Jamie Lyon and Jason King as joint captains.

Money is on King and Lyon being joint captains, however the fact that the other clowns are even in the running is laughable.

I look over the Manly squad and i just can't see them making the 8. Their forward pack with the exception of Watmough is soft as ****. Backline is terrible with the exception of Stewart and Lyon who im pretty sure will play in the halves where he creates a new breed of garbage.

The loss of Orford is going to have a profound effect, although he wasn't that great of a half, he was a great leader and organizer.

I reckon Orford leaving will be a good thing for them

He brought much more to the team than people give him credit for.

What he does off the ball was twice as important as to what he does on it.

Would you want him at the Roosters?

                    • No, because I am quite content with our halves combination.
Manly however, has nobody to cover for him.
