remember the controversy last year when the cowboys were eliminated due to officials mistakes.....
Many may have forgotten but the refs haven't I promise you that.

For the record haters, you will find that I tipped and backed the chooks to win the comp last year in Round 1. Got 25/1. I even got a thread to prove it.

I think Trewhella just has all the neuroses that are part and parcel of being a long term easts fan, and that is behind this thread.

Fact is we have the best team. No doubt in my mind. No other team can do what we do.

We can have less than 50% possession and still win.

We can receive only 2-3 penalties over 80 minutes (which means our opponents are getting away with a lot of offside and ruck slow down to stifle our attack) and we can still win.

We can be behind by 10 in a grand final against a tough side with 25 mins to go and still win.

We are death ridden by most sections of the media for a good reason, and it's not because we are a crap footy team.

Am I nervous about Friday's game? Bet I am. None of the above facts mean we will survive past Friday. And another 53% completion rate would need an equally poor effort by the cows for us to win, as they are a much more decent team than Penrith.

So yeah Trew, maybe we won't make it. But one thing's for sure - every other team still in it, especially Souffs, will be praying cows do us. That confirms what I've said - they all know we are the best side in the comp.

I agree. Why the negativity? It's basically the same side that won the comp last year and just 2 weeks ago absolutely dominated the supposed premiership hotshots Souths.

If the Roosters complete at close to 80% they will win, and win well. The only chance for the Cowboys is another diabolical referring performance culminating in a lopsided count. The big test will be Souths.
