It totally depends on whether grounding with the torso is allowed or not.
The ball didn't come close to touching his arms and if grounding wsa allowed then its 100% a try.
The bigger point is regardless it deserved to be as punishment for being so ****ing dumb

I thought you could only ground with the torso, when the ball is laying on the deck i.e you cant lose control of the ball but ground it with the torso.
In Lui's case the ball is laying on the deck so I think it was ok to be grounded with the torso ...whether he grounded it with the torso I think is moot, because he then grounded it with his hand after he fell on the ball. I don't think he touched it with his arm when he fell to the ground IMO I think it was a try.

I had more of an issue with the overturn of SBW try. I saw no clear evidence from the replay to overturn the on field decision. The only camera shot to show anything was at ground level and you couldn't see the line from that angle ....so how they said he grounded it short of the line is beyond me ..... or do the video ref's listen in on Ch9 commentary.
Joey Johns was going on that it's short of the line ... how can he say that when on the camera shot you can't actually see where the line is !

Im not that sure on the rules here, But surely if you can ground the ball with your Torso/hip surely you can knock on with your torso/ hip. Which he clearly does.

Think the rules say you can only knock on with the arm, not other body part.
The torso grounding thing is some anomaly rule. If you lose control of the ball on the way down and force it with the torso it's no try. But if the ball is just laying in the deck and you fall on it, you can ground it with the torso.

In a split second, how do you know where the torso starts/ends ?

Should have been a penalty for kicking the ball from Shecks hand, Luis foot makes contact with Sheck, but we will let that slide

You know...as they have the top scorers for the year, this time it's JT but if they had a tally who gave the most points in the year, I wonder where mini would rate?

I was right in line with that it was a knock on every day of the week media just trying to create a story cause it's the cowboys.

Gyrdler on Triple M this arvo said that he thought Lui's try was a knock on. If these guys who comment on the game can have a different opinion and an educated one, then the cows can shut it cause that's another decision that went their way.

Wally Lewis has no right being a commentator , his bias is only surpassed by his innacuracies. Darren Lockyer though, admitted that the ball did go slightly forward off Lui.

                      Yeah I think:
                      - Wife basher knocked on
                      - Fat bald guy #8 (Scott) was short and it shoulda gone to the video ref
                      - SBW scored a try

                        Don't you love RL
                        - no knock on
                        - bald fat guy not short
                        - SBW no try. (I do think by the rules they could not def say it didn't touch the ground so it should have been a try) but the pass from pearce was a mile forward

The funny one was late in the game I was screaming (as were many others) about a knock on from dummy half in their 20m. but when I watched the replay at home it came off his foot and no knock on

Just another brain snap by mini.
I watched the incident again, after he grounded the ball with his hip, he rolled around, caught the ball and then got back to his feet and passed the ball away. He never forced the ball.

The fat bald guy try was annoying.

We had a great shot on him and just let him plunder forward. Cords has either lost upper body strength or Scott is the strongest forward in the game.
