I only watched the last ten minutes on Nein.

Most of this thread is dedicated to Gus. But the Queenslanders were much worse.

That idiot Lewis forgot he was in the box and must have thought he was on the hill at Lang Park.

Same as me ...I watched the final 10 and couldn't believe what I was hearing. I thought the cheering in the broadcast box went out with Fatty and origin, but it made me sick to hear King Wanker in the background with his "go" "yeah" then to follow up with all the "robbed" talk and "absolute knock back" rubbish from all of them.
Every radio station, and other media outlet called it knock on and correct decision ...except for the entire Ch9 team (Freddy excluded)
...they are a disgrace.

No ... Gyngell should NOT tell them what they can or can't say, but he should sack them or at least discipline them for being unprofessional

Meh. Who cares what the commentators say. It's just a bunch of blokes talking about footy. Why get so worked up about it? Some of the nine commentators got caught up in the moment and wanted to see they try awarded but who cares, they don't have any influence over it. Gus has since admitted it was the right call. And didn't Ray Warren call it a knock on at the time? My memory is that he did.

Some Rooster fans seem overly defensive about the whole thing, like they're almost embarrassed to have won. No need to be. General consensus is the call was right, far as I can tell. Even the cowboys didn't really blow up about it afterwards.

He said the cowboys were robbed. Has backtracked a bit on the knock on now calling it 50/50, but bitched about the SKD obstruction. Said that a penalty should have been blown and there is no doubt in his mind cows would have gone on to win.

Channel 9 really do offer us a terrible product. Not only is the commentary poor, they provide us coverage in standard definition when we all know the HD technology is available. I also find that when there is a questionable forward pass , knock on etc, sometimes we don't even get a replay. Is this because they don't have enough cameramen ?

Fox seems to do a much better job with replays of contentious ref calls. They seem to have better camera angles as well.

I guess , ch 9 is free to air, so they can do what they want.

Even Ray Hadley , confirmed it was a knock on after the game , and mentioned the forward pass as well.....so there is some balance in the media .....but the "robbed 3 years in a row " ..is a better headline to run with ...
