The fact of the matter remains, it WAS a knock on. The referee made an onfield call which couldn't be overturned based on the evidence and had a chance to be overturned if he initially called try.

You also have to feel sorry for Hayne, he will be thrown under the bus for this all because of the incorrect opinion of a couple over 65+ year old men. How convenient they forgot to mention Ray Thompsons 2m forward pass to Scott Bolton in the lead up to the Taumololo try at the end of the first half. Why do they allow these obviously biased individuals to continually highlight controversial negative perspectives which bring the game lower than the gutter , when with an unbiased approach which makes a consiencious effort to concentrate on reinforcing the on field officials perspective in the decision making process makes for a more realistic and less confronting experience.

You listen to the commentary and Rabs, Johns, Gus, Wally and Tallis all call it a knock back.
If the shoe was on the other foot and it was Easts scoring the match winning try I would bet my left nut that they would all call it a knock on. Fact is Badger called it a knock on at the time it happened. If Thurston was tackled before the line they would have packed the scrum. Because he scored they decided to check it.

Tell me why when we conceded two or three penalties and I was thinking what was that for, we didn't get one replay yet every time we received one they had the 3 replays and slow mo going? Same with last week's no try to Casty. One vague replay and "yep that was a fair penalty".

No ones carrying Mini , he may not of had a great game tonight but some the football he's been playing lately has been as good as ever - god help us when he retires.
