I just watched the ch 9 intro and could not believe the way Joey went on about the cowgirls being robbed. he was a great player but a terrible commentator. I find it hard to believe that as an immortal he does not know what constitutes a "knock on". I thought that the cowgirls benefitted the most from refs calls last night but as Freddy pointed out those decisions didn't ultimately effect the outcome. Mini gifted them 2 tries yet we were able to steady the momentum shift and seal the win. the cowgirls had the opportunity to take the drop goal but chose not too.

Not sure whose commentating on 9 tonight as I have it on mute as I listen to the MMM commentary. Dan Ginnane is far superior to anyone 9 has in their stable.

Was at the game last night so my commentary was the refs via Sports Ears. Yes, I might not always like their opinion but at least it's relevant to the game, which is more than I can say for the gibberers at Channel 9.

So I knew straight away for the final NQ try that one ref (Badger?) called knock on and yelled out for Hayne to check it before he made any motion to perhaps award a try. No need for the hysterics of dumb and dumber at 9.

Considering I was sitting with my head in my hands at the time and ready to assume the foetal position, I was grateful for the audio as I couldn't bear to look! I can smile about it now, but was closer to tears last night.

the NRL should have distanced themselves from the johns brothers a long time ago.. instead they name that prick an immortal..his a black eye on our game, watch his interview with Gould when he was busted for drugs.. the guy is almost smiling the whole way through.. ive talked to many ex NRL players that spent time with him and his reputation amongst them is his one of the biggest assholes you'll meet, i dont doubt it

The problem here is that most of the other immortals were not any better, its just when they got up to things they did it with journos so it was never written about. Not to mention if you are criticising immortals for being assholes, you have to get rid of Fulton first

Exactly. If there is a sensational bit of lead up play, then a knock on, it shouldnt be a knock on coz that would be a shame to disallow such a great try just coz of a little knock on.

Nine like to create a dramatic narrative for their broadcasts.

Things like fibros v silver tails, robbed for 3 years, Sammy versus Sonny, all that kind of crap. They build it up in the pre-match hype period and go with it hard. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. It gets the dills engaged and enraged.
