Well said TCB. I really can't think of any other player who has achieved what Anthony has for nearly 2 decades now, including the comeback from the heinous back injury, and continues to inspire others from all walks of life. The only trash talk I've heard from people against Anthony is on this very forum. Fans of all clubs and other codes, even people I know who have no interest in sport, seem to know him as a champion and all round good guy. I'm ashamed and embarrassed by what some of our own spoiled fans toss up in here week after week. It's come right down to the wire this week, his career is coming to an end and this is the best some on here can come up with..what a way to thank him for his many years of service and loyalty..

I guess I am one of those disloyal supporters not showing the proper respect. I didn't know that I had signed up for a cult.

More mistakes than anyone else in the competition. Anyone else.

And he only has his hands on the ball a fraction of the time of lots of other players.

Safe as houses? Crack houses maybe.

But as I said before, it's too late to do anything about it and we are stuck with him. All we can do is pray.

Don't worry redwhiteblue - he'll play well this week and there will be an 'Anthony Minichiello appreciation thread' late Friday night

I hope so because that will mean we won.

The counterpart I refer to is Greg Inglis, not RTS (if that's what you thought).

And you're welcome to criticise Mini. I'm not one of those overly precious types.

I just think Mini has been good these past two years. And I have faith that he'll rectify things when it matters most on Friday.

Meanwhile the much overhyped no.1 for the Rabbits will go missing in the big end of season game as usual.

                I hope you are right.

                But I would prefer Inglis.

GI is a better player right now, no doubt (although Mini 03-05 pisses all over him).

But GI is still picking the grass out of his mouthguard after David Williams palmed him off like a little bitch to seal last year's Prelim.

Mini won't star on Friday night. But I have a sneaky suspicion he'll be solid as a rock... let our gluttony of stars from 2-13 do the match winning.

preference maybe GI or a J.hayne but mini's the best chance we've got at 1..Exactly as you put it too late for any change at this stage. I actually thought he did quite well in our last outing against souths, and that's about all he has got to do in this one..Simple plan really..1.. Just defuse all the bombs coming his way..2.. Make sure he hits the ground fast when taking it up close to our try line..3.. No passes to RTS or anyone else close to line.. and the rest will take care of itself

[QUOTE=Johnny Tobin;397191]He was not that good last year. He gets a pass. Every other year since 2006 is a fail.

Lol...I used to get a bit upset with your little sniper potshots at Mini now you have taken it to another level of fantasy....you have my pity.

A desperate attempt to get your own notoriety in our biggest week for a long time.

Keep em coming now big fella...the credibility bypass is complete.

Touched a raw nerve I see.

                          Just like old times.

Ok. Ok. Under the pressure and personal attacks I take it all back.

I am bitterly disappointed that Mini didn't sign on for another year, or two, or three...

I love Mini too. A true clubman.

However, he is a professional sportsman and therefore is subject to criticism if his on field performances warrant it.

His mistakes in the last two matches have been alarming. One of them virtually cost us the game, the others went very close to doing so.

It would be amazing if he was to go out as a premiership winning player, however I believe retirement is the best thing for him and the club.

                            Easts to win.

I don't have any agenda Jack. I am just a passionate roosters fan expressing an opinion - just like everyone else here. Of course, you have access to an ignore button if you don't like it.

And TCB, I haven't had an employer for a long time. A very long time. More than 10 years. Though I know what you are getting at. I suppose you think it was acceptable for that braindead goose moderator to display my personal information? If so, how about you give us yours?

I am staggered by one thing. Your fullback is supposed to be your most safe player. Ours has made more mistakes than any other player in the NRL. Any other player. Not just any other fullback. Yet almost everyone here is ok with that.

I'm OK with it for the next two weeks. You aren't really advocating dropping Mini are you?

Let's not forget that along with those mistakes, he does a lot of good things too. He's still the best bomb defuser in the club and a good defender. He is our top try scorer this year. He organises the defence and inspires his team mates.

We all know his deficiencies. But, at this point in the year and in his magnificent career, I'd rather risk losing the comp than disrespect a club legend.
