  • is Robbo playing russian roulette with a busted Mini

we all know that Mini hasn't exactly been a rock at the back over recent weeks, has made some really crucial mistakes that nearly killed off our season.

he looked very stiff and sore right from the start against the cowboys on Friday night.

now word is coming out of the club that Mini hasn't trained for a month with back/groin injuries and in Robbo's own words is "locked up at the moment and can barely run".

yes Mini is a club legend, but the question must be asked if his back is truly stuffed again, should he be carried into a prelim final when he is clearly not healthy.

would really hate to see Mini tarnish his reputation will another below par display that has the potential to kill off our season.

    I agree.

I mentioned yesterday that Robbo should seriously consider dropping Mini but got smashed as a Souths fan for sharing that thought. He has almost cost us 2 games in a row due to his terrible errors. I guess you can't really turn back now though. He also cannot play any worse.

I don't think Mini is any more or less busted-up than anyone else at this stage of the season. He's just had a few more 'Mini-moments' than he has had previously.

For those calling for him to be dropped, I think you'll find that Trent (ya know, that guy who knows more about this situation and won us the comp and that) will be playing this 180 degrees away from dropping The Cat.

Mini knows exactly what he's done. Mini will rise. Never underestimate a champion.

obviously Robbo isn't going to drop Mini, this is more a discussion about the risks involved in playing injured players in big games.

there is no doubt the vermin will target Mini now knowing he is busted, they will kick to the middle of the field rather than the corners and hammer him on every opportunity.

fingers crossed that Mini has at least one more performance left in him.

I think good halves will always kick to open space, makes a huge difference finding the turf and I don't think it will be any different this week. If they happen to go the path of kicking it straight to Mini, Toups and RTS need to get back to help him, Mini should give it to them at every opportunity.

Does anyone remember what happended v Cronulla when Mini left the field?
He has made a few mistakes in the last 2 games. I think it's unlikely he will have a third game in a row with mistakes.

Whether he's busted or not isn't the question. He got to that ball ok on Friday, stopped it going into touch for whatever reason, and then threw the worst pass any of us has ever seen....

It's not as though he wasn't travelling well enough to get to the ball. I wish he had been a bit busted, then he might have let it go into touch.

A pointless discussion fueling Rothfield's attempts to destabilise our team when, in truth, the focus should be on 42 years of South Sydney choking.

Do people that claim to get "word from the club" ever get tired of being completely and utterly wrong?

Unless I hear it from the coach himself, I call B.S. on any statement I see "from the club."

If anyone on here death riding Mini had had the operations he has and played over 300 first grade games then they would have a right to do that death riding.
