So he made one crap pass... burn the guy.
Mate Mini kept us in the game on Friday!!! JT had the ball on a string and Scott/Tamou/Sims were chasing with a lot of passion. On multiple occasions Mini caught IMPOSSIBLE fluttering/pin-point magical JT balls on the full under immense pressure, preventing certain tries!!! I think many under-rate how farking deadly JT's boot is when he's on fire. I was at the game and could see the full extent of his kicks!!! They're high, they spin around impossibly, they always hit their mark and they always bounce exactly the way he wants them to (with pin point accurancy). JT has his reputation for a reason and Mini was tasked with shutting down his 5th tackle opens when others had already failed to shut him down... allowing him to kick clean balls!!
Once the ball has left JT's foot and you've got Tamou/Scott/Sims in your face then catching an impossible ball on the full (stopping it from bouncing irratically/hitting its target) it a job well done. Sure Mini didn't run 50m every time and do a Hayne/Inglis but he's not that. FWIW neither is anybody else on our team and we won the minor premiership/2013 premiership this way!!
We all played crap for ~40 minutes and Mini threw one crap pass (which was embarrassing, but uncharacteristic).
Mini is our captain and our best option at FB. RTS can't take high balls like Mini... Tupou's not a fullback and it would be a farce putting SKD, Jennings,Macdonald or a forward as FB so late in what has been an extremely successful season.
Mini is our man and anybody who says he's uselesss/should be dropped from the game where he's set to break an amazing club record supports Souffs, Penrith, the Dogiiiiiz and Islamic State. SERIOUSLY!!! Screw your head in place guys!!!Last edited by ism22; 09-22-2014, 11:33 AM.

Morgan had a much worse game than Mini. He probably cost the Cowboys victory if they are to blame one person for most mistakes.
Mini dropped a ball in swirling conditions that bounced perfectly for the Cowboys a couple of metres from the line and he had a brain snap firstly because he thought it was a 40/20 and tapped the ball back in and then the dumb pass.
In the end our defence in the last 20 minutes won us the game with our starting side back on. I am sure without Mini organising our defensive line we would have crumbled like we did in the Sharks game when he came off. I am not convinced RTS can give us the same defensive organisation at this stage.
Some of the sliding catches Mini took against the Panthers, plus the ones he took on Friday and still hitting the line hard, I can't see the evidence that he can barely run.
IMO we can't win the comp without Mini this year.

Mini has made 16 errors in the last 6 games. Greg Inglis has made 13 errors all season.
There is a right to question whether he is a liability at this stage but his experience showed in the last 20 minutes last week. Thurston hammered some massive bombs against him and he was resilient time after time. He may have made a few crucial errors that led to tries but his experience showed and we will have to back him until the end.
O' Captain my Captain!

Why look at his mistakes? Cowboys dropped big bombs on him late in game. He caught those. He caught more than he dropped. I'm happy we got away with that stupid pass, but will he ever do it again? Not this year... He got that shit pass out of the system and we won. We were bad in defence when he was out injured. I don't care how many games he has played or how good he was. Nrl is played in percentages. He drops one in 20. Good rate I think.

I'd still prefer him at the back than any other fullback in defence . Its silly to focus on specific errors in isolation to overall input...tries saved etc.
