Some real stupidity displayed in this thread. No surprises really. Great idea guys. Let's drop Mini with 2 games to go. He is only our
Fullback and captain. Plenty of talented reserve graders ready to step up. Fark me. We have rolled he dice all year with Mini and so far we are looking good. win, lose or draw Mini is going to be there. instead of death ridng him how about some farking support and some respect. Rant over.

That dropped bomb was a concern, but Mini's other brainsnaps can be rectified.

Toups also had a brainsnap which was very lucky not to cost us a try.

Mini was good last year; and very good when it mattered most.

We won the competition because of a team effort last year, and Captain Mini was a big part of that team.

Now, the last couple of weeks, he's made some awful errors. Last week was pathetic.

And I'm now very nervous about what he'll do this week. But I'm going to keep the faith. The team has to stick together if they're going to go B2B.

One thing is for certain, when the going gets tough, Mini won't go hiding like his much hyped counterpart who wasn't to be seen in last years Prelim.

I asked Robinson on Sunday why Minichiello was always an automatic selection choice.

“That’s easy to answer,” Robinson says.

“And, mind you, people don’t know Mini hasn’t trained for three weeks. He hasn’t been able to run. His groin, his back … everything’s locked up.

“But he’s our spiritual leader. He’s so much more than just the fullback and the captain. There is a huge amount of respect for him and there’s no doubt whatsoever among the players what he means to our footy team.”

Minichiello might have dropped bombs and thrown wayward passes in recent weeks but Robinson still describes him as the competition’s best defensive fullback.

“Craig Bellamy recently said Billy Slater was the best in that area,” Robinson said.

“That’s how I feel about Mini. The number one thing he prides himself on is organising our defence. He sets everyone in place for every tackle.

“I think Mini has been the best in the game at doing that for the last couple of years.”

We're about to play our biggest game of the season - and IMO our biggest non-GF since the 2003 Prelim vs the Bulldogs - so it's time to get behind our players, not slag them off.

Mini has made 10 errors in the 6 games from round 23 through to last week. Not sure where you got 16 from.

Perhaps he wants them to think that he's damaged...whether they fall for it that's another question. I doubt Robbo would release some information which could give the opposition an advantage.

He was not that good last year. He gets a pass. Every other year since 2006 is a fail.
