I'm sorry..and I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but the fact remains you should not be discriminated against on the basis of your appearance. I'm not referring to the police here as they are only doing their jobs. So all men of middle eastern appearancea who use a mobile phone in a public place are clearly terrorists.

Most of the men convicted of terrorism offences in Australia seem to be of "Middle Eastern appearance"...and of the Islamic faith.

All the 9/11 terrorists seemed to be of "Middle Eastern Appearance".

Most of the men from/in Australia who are in the terrorism spotlight these days seem to be of "Middle Eastern appearance"...including those holding up severed heads for the cameras, and having their young sons hold up severed heads for the cameras.

People of "Middle Eastern appearance" who are not happy about security checks at Australian airports, security checks at footy matches, and police raids on homes etc ........should go blame the people from their 'race'/'community' who are terrorists, suspected terrorists, or causing 'trouble'.

Sorry mate, but that's pretty wrong. Franklin lived in the time of the American Revolution - armed conflict with the worlds superpower at that time - along with domestic armed conflict with the likes of the Pontiac Revolution in Pennsylvania - also the western frontier where they were effectively at war with the local native Americans.

Melbourne terror suspect shot dead after repeatedly stabbing police


An 18-year-old Melbourne man greeted two counter-terrorism officers, shook their hands and then pulled out a blade and repeatedly stabbed them before being shot dead last night, according to the Australian Federal Police.

The Narre Warren man was invited to meet a Victoria Police officer and AFP officer at the Endeavour Hills police station on Heatherton Road in order to discuss recent "disturbing behaviour" which allegedly included threats against Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

This is the problem with a lot of "patriotic" statements from ye old elders, like "liberty and justice for all", "the only thing to fear is fear itself" and "we shall decide the people who come to this country and the manner in which they come", they are all from a time of relative peace.
