I think everyone acknowledges he hasn't been the dominant player this year compared to last.

But why do you think that is?

Is it a shift in attitude, is he marked more heavily or is he playing injured? Or something else...

Can he come out and play a 2013 style game in our most important game of the year on Friday?

I think it might be that he is confined to one side. Some of his highlights last year came from drifting to the left side and popping an offload to Maloney or Jennings.
It is easier to contain him when they know he is stuck on the right side...

Its ignorance that bleats out that opinion of SBW.
While the glory bits may not happen as often, he is one of the hardest working forwards in the game.

      He is still dominant

I think it's at least partly because he has been heavily marked and draws in a lot of players/attention. This could be helping Cordner/Guerra's form (although both are quality players in their own right).

Attitude? When he knocked on last week he punched the ball and looked a little pissed. Was that poor attitude though? I think he was just passionate.

IMO SBW is a very selfless player who makes those around him look better. He's not a player like Gallen who will try to do everything himself and eat into other people's opportunities/stats.

The way I see it his job here is almost done, in a good way. He's going but he's left Cords, Guerra, Moa, JWH, Napa, Evans...etc with some good skills/experience that they'll bring with them in the future.

Maybe the fact others have lifted and look better is a why SBW isn't so dominant? The workload is shared and we trust our players with the ball. This isn't like our soccer team where we play a 'kick it to Cahill'tactic because he's the only good player. SBW isn't our only option and Guerra/Cords/Napa...etc are just as likely to do something good with the pill, so we share the ball around, causing more trouble for the opposition than a predictable 'pass it to SBW and let him work his magic'. There's a reason why Cronulla keep finishing bottom 8 with their 'pass it to Gal' tactic.

I don't know but I sure want to see a 2013 type performance from him on Friday.

It won't happen, and fair enough, but this Friday I'd like to see:

              11. Cordner
              12. Guerra
              13. SBW

              All play 80 minutes.

That big game flop FPN can keep the bench warm.

For us to win, he will have to.

Its like the old Jack Gibson philosophy, your not gonna play your best cards untill it counts. Why would you have SBW running our secret plays all year round so opposition coaches can get a handle on them.

Have been thinking along those lines, as well.

Some fat prick on Sportsline (not fatso Freedman) last night wrote him off. I hope Sonny makes him eat those words.

FPN plays his best game starting at lock. I would prefer him to start and Guerra coming off the bench. I know it won't happen though.

SBW just needs to cut back on his ball playing/offloads and tuck the ball under his arm and run hard, this is what got us back into the GF last season.

SBW is going ok. When we beat Souths and get to the grand final, I would like to see SBW go on a shoulder charge blitz and skittle opponents everywhere in the decider. What can they do to him? Put him on report, please.

Same with Napa, at worst he misses two to three games next year. I can see a smash-a-thon coming.
