I haven't been this nervous about a game since, including GF's.

This is the biggest game since the Dogs semi in 2003.

Who could forget the first set against the Dogs in 2003. Brent Sherwin's clearing kick was from 7m out.

Our forwards declared war that day.

They will need to do the same tonight.

    Easts to win.

Stay cool ... it's only a game of footy, in the scheme of things.
    If we win, great.
If we lose, our team and supporters gave would've it their best, but fallen slightly short of the finish line and not won the gold medal this time.
Silver and bronze are also to be applauded.

      Feel the same Vasco.

I was thinking last night has there been a bigger game in my time and only the 2003 gf came to mind.

i think we have a short memory.... i was more nervous on the day of the GF last season then i am today, but in saying that im more nervous today then i will be if we make the GF next week... this does feel like a GF for sure, but what comforts me alittle is we have had 2 tough games in a row that were finals quality while souths last 2 games were lossing to us and playing a TERRIBLE manly... they are yet to have a tough finals game so maybe the fast tempo may stun them.

I've never felt so calm in my fan footy career. Even though I've been up since 5am and had strong black coffee with lots of sugar, I'm in my serenity now place. Very Zenlike..

I have to agree with Vasco.

I really miss Sunday when the game was a good 5 days away and I could relax!

These last two days have been awful. I've just been a bundle of nerves. I even had a dream involving Jake Friend last night - the legend bought me a beer so it wasn't a sex dream lol - so even when I'm asleep all I can think about is Roosters Roosters Roosters.

Winning a GF obviously carries with it a different feeling... but I still don't think any game has meant this much to me since the 2003 Prelim.

Even though I know you're trolling, I agree wholeheartedly. I'm just psyched to get out there and enjoy what has been 2 amazing years.

Thinking back to the late 80's and early 90's, it's as though I'm in a dream.

i think the reason why everyone is so nervous is because they are assuming if we win this game we will 100% win the GF next week....therefore this is our grand final... we shouldnt assume that.

I had a dream about Jake last week too..it was more of a mother hen dream, not a sex one..lol..I dreamed he was at the Vaucluse shops where I used to see him all the time and he told me he was still in pain..this was before the Nth Qld game so just a manifestation of my worries about him playing..If you dreamt you were having a beer together, it means a celebration is in order...!

Never in my life time have we played Souths in a finals match[ think the last time was 1938], I was hoping it would stay that way.
I am very nervous about this game.

Roosters to beat Souths and Bulldogs to beat the Panthers.

Current State of Origin halves will battle it out with dumped Roosters' pair.

Roosters' halves will win the game for them.

I don't think I've cared less about a game in my entire life. Not because I don't want the Roosters to win but because I know they will. Next week, different story.

I do not want to play Penrith in the Grand Final.

The way I see it, we are going to win tonight and then have the best chance in a long time to go back to back.

If we somehow lose, well then the GF tickets I already have will be worth an absolute mint to the avalanche of Souffs bandwagoners who'll want to get to the game. If the dogs also win on saturday tickets could literally go for $1000+
