Because its how we beat them in R26 and dominated them tonight until the 10 min mark. Then a couple of penalties put us on the back foot and we were not good enough to deal with it.

Yeah a 10-5 penalty count had nothing to do with it.

Neither did the Sutton and Luke dropped balls.

All year they've dominated teams - top teams - with that pack. I think their minds were never set on the minor premiership. I think their minds were set on the grand final. I think we got sold a rope-a-dope.

Didn't even watch the game. Can't comment on who deserved to win, but two stats jump out at me:

You fail to mention that they get the most penalties of any side in the comp too. I think that has much more to do with it than talent as any team getting plenty of ball and good field position can win. Nothing special about vermin at all. They got the refs calls and won possession that's all. Equal possession they cannot beat us.

Pearces legs getting taking out was one of the most blatent penalties, even the pocket ref was pointing at it but nothing was called? How can you beat that.
