I can recall the days after Luke Ricko got charged in 2004 with the bitch slap and 1 game suspension, and all the Rooster hating media were all over it saying he should not get off just because its the GF.
I can recall all the social media, newspapers and online dominated by verminites calling for his suspension to be upheld .."the fact it's the GF is irrelevant, no special treatment for the Roosters " etc etc

I don't like any player missing a grand final, it is the only reason a player plays for, and for some clubs or players, it may never happen. If a player is charged with a minimal grading, and carry over points are going to make you miss a grand final, I think it is wrong. If there is a big charge or intentional act of foul play where up to 4 or 5 weeks would be missed, then I think missing a GF is deserved.

I wonder if for a low grading incident, which you would normally miss a week for, the nrl could offer a compensation such as, you get to play in the grand final but you miss the first 3 games of next year?

I did say I don't believe "any" player should miss a GF on a small charge. Including smith and ricko.

Would be funny if one of our players was in the same position, and to hear the defense from everybody as to why, lets say friend should not be suspended.

No mercy whatsoever. ricketson had to miss then so does this guy. The law can't make exceptions for grand finals at least that's what we were told but with vermin grubs they're favoured by the judiciary and refs so sure he'll get off. However in this comp there's one law for vermin and another law for us.

Get your facts straight. Moa and Luke both copped 125 points (1 week). Moa has no prior charges so can bring it down to 94 points (0 weeks plus 94 carry over points) with an early plea. Luke has prior charges which means loading plus carry over points ensures he misses at least 1 week.
