JWH got off a high tackle charge in week 1 of the finals, that did matter. Nappa got a downgrade which meant he missed 2 weeks instead of 4, that did matter, so your arguement here is floored.

Luke has got his just deserts - I have absolutely no sympathy there. Ennis will miss out too so win win so far.

Unfortunately, I think Souths will win so Rusty may be happy.....but without Ennis this will be the one (and only) time I'll cheer the Dogs on. I won't be putting any money on them though.

A very sad end to what has been a frustrating and disappointing year for the Roosters; team almost at full strength (basically 2 years running) going in to the finals, a disallowed try to Casty in the first final that may have set things up nicely for it all to be thrown in our faces. What might have been?

As a rooster supporter for 40 years I hate souths, its law, religion or just common law, but I must say im disappointed for Isaac luke, after watching near every game this year I have noticed he was always the 1st person there to help a player injured weather in his team or the opposition . Although I want them to loose, I dont think it deserved this outcome , we remember when rico was outed for a gf, its not a good outcome, but if you do the crime you do the time

When was last year the time to review carryover points from the regular season leading into the semis. Let's change this now to reduce the odds of this happening again. Too many players miss GFs and this should only happen for selected wrong doings.

Too many of you in here think the NRL will do everything in their power to make Souffs win. Then what is this? Hell, the conspiracy theorists will probably say now that the NRL are helping Souffs because they believe his replacement is a better fit for the team against the Dogs

Am I the only one that wont be watching the GF? I couldnt give a damn. I hate both teams so it will kill me equally to see one of them win. I have no interest in it at all. Once Easts are gone my season is over.

Fark Luke, no mercy. Why, for the fundamental reason that before the season kicked-off they were the rules (past the horizontal, placing into a dangerous pos etc...) that applied to ALL player irrespective, including the final series.
Too many including current & former players and respected commentators tried to go the sympathetic & sentimental approach.
The judiciary on the other hand got this one right. They have enforced the rule & sent out the right message.
