Why does everyone say we didn't beat penriff Castys was a try plain and simple no argument even from bias commentators.
It goes a bit deeper than beating the panthers.
    They don't want us there.

Penrith were garbage. We should never have been in the position where that shocking call or Mini's blunder could have cost us the game.

Might sound far fetched but the outrageous Casty no try call probably changed history.

        I reckon we'd have gone B2B otherwise.

But we still should have been good enough to overcome.

          Garbage is being kind!

          Did you see the Prelim?!

          They're a meddling borderline top 8 side.

And we threw away our b2b chances by not taking them seriously. As awful as the Casty no try call was...

          We got what we deserved.

But how much should you have to overcome?
Surely these officials have so responsibility to officiate a game reasonably? To go upstairs for a simple try call. Don't fool yourselves guys that call fu#ked our season. I knew it the moment it happened.

Yep, it would have put us up 18-4 and Penrith would have shrivelled and died.

No point living in the past, we could of lost v bunnies in rd 26 and everything could of been different too.

Even with the casty call, we were well in position to win that match. The last 5 min was all our doing.

Bulldogs and Souths forwards were tougher than our forwards this finals series. Had we beaten Penrith there are no guarantees we would have made the grand final, let alone win it.

A self-righteous coach prepared to give the opposition a clear advantage, players that get themselves pointlessly suspended just before the finals, and a team that has been complacent for most of the season. There is a lot we can cleanup in our own backyard.

There's no way we will start diving. And I don't mind that.

It is a real blight on the game and the NRL are ignoring it. Tonight it was ridiculous.

spot on dice.trent needs to come up with a different style of play and coaching techniques as i believe some of our complacency was due to the same old same old training sessions and game plan week in week out. boredom set in whilst also having to deal with bias whilst rule changes did not suit us in 2014 as mentioned due to the same old same old 2013 formula. the 2014 game was faster and we did not adapt.interesting in tonites game little use of wingers in taking the ball up.its a forwards job and we need speed and some mongrel in our pack which was lacking in 2014.observation here and in no way criticism of players or coaches.
