I can't see us re-signing SKD if Fergo turns his life around off the field, knuckles down and starts enjoying his footy again.

Somehow I think that had we won at Penrith and go onto the GF, we would have lost to the vermin. The intensity of their tackling was what we did to them in rnd 26 but could not reproduce it in that prem final. I don't think the extra week they had or the one we didn't have had any initial impact as we started to lose that game after we scored the 12 points early in the game. We had 1 week to recover which is normal for the competition so it shouldn't have mattered that much. If we lost it in the last 15 or 20 mins then we can attribute it to the extra week.

I think it would have been worst had we lost the Gf to...them. If you try to imagine that, you'd be be hitting the bottle.

Dont fully agree on the GF Rabbits were ordinary for most of the game and the Bulldogs worse we couldve got em ...but like many The Penriff game was where it all went out the window

the vermin played for 80minutes in the GF,have the best history with second half performances and completion rates. they were too strong too fast and too good against the dogs. a real team performance. i dislike souffs club especially their coach with a prison screw's head, admin and fans however their team was well balanced in the gf even without Luke.

They said during the the GF and the prem final that souths came strong mostly after half time. As I didn't follow their progress throughout the season, I have to accept that. In that rnd 26 they did that to us, be it it started from a wayward pass from Toups but it did happen. In the prem final after we'd scored those tries, that was it from us and we were never in the game. In the GF it was the same. They tackled the dogs hard for the first and kept the score to a minimum and then they got stronger after the 2nd and soon enough the dogs started making forced errors which eventually became their demise.
            Do you concur Mr Brain?

Had we beaten Penrith and then the Dogs we would have been full of confidence and on a long winning streak. I think we would have been a good chance against Souffs, who shiit themselves and struggled to get it done against absolutely pathetic opposition in the GF.

Mini said that the Penrith game was our downfall. A game we should never have been in a position to lose. The team needed the break badly.

Also said that no pre-season was a major factor but I can understand that affecting the first half of the season but by half way surely that should not have been a major factor. The team was pretty much the same when it came to plays and structures.

exactly at no stage really did one feel that souffs were really threatened by the dogs despite only being behind at half time / and for a small period in the second half .....you could sense that souffs had smashed away at the foundations of any resistance the dogs had and then steamrolled them in the final 15 minutes..........

They compensated for the offseason by bringing the offseason six weeks into the season. We were told they were very fresh as a result so that was no excuse.

Why do I get this sneaky feeling it is Jason Taumololo..... Considering his talent, and the fact he is still off-contract at the Cows.

Knowing the Cows they would have signed him up already but the fact they haven't means that he is considering other offers.

                            MEANWHILE, across the ditch ...
Sonny Bill Williams is set to make his return to rugby union with provincial club Counties Manukau in New Zealand.
Just weeks after finishing his two-year NRL stint with the Sydney Roosters, Williams said he was excited about playing in the ITM Cup match against Auckland tomorrow night.
Williams has been training under All Blacks legend and close friend Tana Umaga, who coaches Counties.
