  • nine's reluctance to show replays on controversial incidents

can't remember a match before when channel 9 flat out refused to show replays of so many incidents that might be deemed controversial against the vermin.

    - the FPN concussion incident

    - the Napa steal penalty where the vermin lost the ball into his hands.

    - the multiple high shots that left several of our players dazed, weren't replayed till after our players had risen to their feet to play the ball.

and then finally the Isaac Luke lifting tackle was not mentioned once after it happened until a comment was thrown in after the match saying we won't have anything to worry about.

it makes me sick the bias in the coverage these days, the continual comments about us being the most penalised side when we weren't this season.

can't be bothered watching the fox replay to get their thoughts on the match, but would be interested to hear the vibe of the commentary if anyone is game enough to put themselves through that match again.

It's absolute WWE style. The NRL have taken a punt that the best way to attract an audience is to attempt to manage the outcomes of matches in order to give their preferred teams as best a chance as possible to win. The media is basically a closed shop run by people with the same vested interests.

To be honest mate, and ironically, we prob paid the price for refusing to stay down after getting hit high.

But I will never criticise the boys for that.

The same thing has been annoying me for ages and I wouldn't say that it is just Nine as Fox are equally as bad. I'd like some genuine analysis rather than the self important blow hard windbags we have to listen to at the moment. I dont think it is a conspiracy, but maybe an operational decision from the broadcasters. I often wonder why I pay for such shitty coverage.

If we are to compete next year we have to and must go down to win penalties. Every other team does it , why should we not join the gamesmanship. It's part of the game ....apparently.

I want to see a replay of the play the ball when Sutton switched in Inglis for a try. It was probably ok but it looked a bit stuttered and that maybe he didn't play it correctly or touch it with his foot. That crap play the ball seemed to put the Roosters defence off. Thoughts?

I thought it was probably ok, but should have been worth a look

I was pretty far away but it looked like he just stepped over the ball, with no attempt to touch it with his foot.

Did they show a replay of Pearce having his legs taken out?

Have you noticed how most of our players play the ball?

I know jared does it all the time but at least he moves his leg, this looked like he just stepped over the ball without even prentending to play it. I never said this was a fact, only what i noticed.

It looked like it rolled forward and he then stepped over it.

I personally feel the NRL is running this competition to some kind of script like the wrestling. There's been way too many bad calls against us to call it coincidence or human error. Way too many plus calls for vermin to call it coincidence.

I think we fans are naive and the game has descended long ago into an organised crime den of corruption with refs on the take and maybe a lot of players too. It's all about getting 'close games', golden points if possible. The refs have way too much control and I'd say they're as corrupt as hell and have bookies riding them and are collecting big time on swaying games.

I was at the game and thought the same thing, everytime there was a controversial decision there was never a replay and also every souths try the video ref looked at it once and give the try seemed they were finding a reason to give us a no try..

It is a huge blight on the game.

Luke played the ball forward = knock on. The ref should've at least checked it.
