Still a successful season yes I am disappointed we did not go all the way.
I have been disappointed with JWH and Conder. The former for his discipline and the later for his lack of involvement. I think Boyd goes missing in games

I think Boyd's extra-curricular activities caught up with him. Hopefully he has a good look in the mirror over the next few months.

Correct. When he spoke at the Blues media conference i thought it was silly he had a sook and should have shut his mouth

Until last night he has pretty much week in week out been our busiest worker putting in 150 meters and 30+ tackles. I think people expect him to be explosive when he is really more a grafting player. His leg drive when getting tackled always gets him a few extra meters.

Yeh fair enough mate,it's his drop balls at crucial times that have bothered me.
He dropped one last night at an imoportant time sent me off the edge,so frustrating!

Mate I agree. Not sure what happened to our halves putting him through holes. That has disappeared completely.

He has been 50% of the player he was last season.

Not disappeared , just the opposition knowing what we throw at them. Very little variation from last year.

I don't think we should worry about the cap too much if we win it next year - most of our players will either be sold or re-signed by then. It's really only Jennings. RTS, Moa and Cords who will be due for contracts come the end of next year. And I feel SBW will be back so we will probably have to consider him too. However the cap is going up so that will help.

And as for next year, I believe we will be competitive and our best will come towards the back end. I expect it will take RTS some time to adapt at fullback, which could hinder our progress. But that's understandable.

                      I'm optimistic

That will change next year for sure.
                        Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

We have a sensational future ahead of us. We're set up for the next 5 years when you look at the team.

                          1) The spine - RTS, Pearce and Friend are in their early and mid 20s. Maloney still has two good years in him and then there's SoH behind him who from all accounts is a star of the future. Latrell Mitchell will also be a star in a few years.

                          2) Outside backs - Fergo and Jennings can form the most devastating centre pairing in the game over the next 3-4 years. And in Toops, SKD and Macdonald we have quality and youth on the wings.

                          3) Forwards - Cordner and Guerra can be mainstays of our backrow for the next 5 years. Both are two of the best forwards in the comp. Young Vincent Leuluai also has the look of a future star.

Up front, Moa still has 3 or 4 years in him. I'm confident JWH will rediscover his best form next season. And then we have four excellent young bulls in Liu, Napa, Evans and Meehan.

Even if we lose one or two players due to cap pressure, on top of Mini and SBWs departures this year, you still couldn't ask for a better and more balanced roster going forward.

And of course we have the best young coach in the game.

We're in for a great, sustained era of success. And I won't make the mistake of not enjoying every moment like I did this season.
Well done Tommy. I concur unequivocally.

Agreed he was better needled up last year than this season. Probably out with his mate Carney too much.
