Thought we got about 4 or 5 awards, not a bad effort when we will never win the fullback or halves awards with the likes of inglis, slater, dce, thurston, cronk and foran in the mix.

I think by having co captains rules us out of that award too.

Completely snubbed... harsh IMO given we were the minor premiers.

Hayne and JT? Yeeeah uuuum... not even gonna comment there. Both are no doubt quality players, but besides Hayne's Origin performances (which don't count towards Dally M ... I think?) I'm not confident either were the best players of the season. Hate the guy but kinda surprised Jamie Soward didn't get a foot in...

As usual I think most of the decisions are a load of cr@p and it's pretty amazing that no Roosters are in the list given we won more games than anybody. Blah blah blah... a pretty good year for us but no credit for it unfortunately.

Absolute worst Dally M's you'll ever see.

1. Who the hell's idea was it to bring in all the olympians to present awards for a sport they never played or ever expressed interest in?
2. Jamie Lyon wins captain and centre? Are you kidding? He had an average season and was carried by Matai/Stewart/Foran's form all year
3. DCE for halfback? Pearce/Hunt were both better choices after his origin fade
4. Radradra is a big call in front of Mansour i think. Even Tupou deserved recognition (from a Roosters perspective)
5. Why did they rush the team of the year? You'd think showing some of the young guns would get them excited to be nominated for these "prestigious awards". Also it's usually far more enjoyable, fun and intense seeing all the nominees then trying to guess who will win with your mates
6. Hayne getting 2 points after being embarrassed by Canberra? He played 20 good minutes.. Thurston deserved it fair and square. Best player in the game all year
7. Russell Crowe/Tony Squires/That knob from the daily telegraph were all so boring to listen to..
8. Apart from the Matty Johns Show and Anasta we barely saw any NRL media personalities (even from FoxSports!)

I don't even remember seeing any Roosters there at all - except seeing Mini with his wife during the cut scenes on the red carpet. Who else from the Roosters was there? Can't believe Trent didn't get nominated either
