Man there are some shit players there. I personally think Cherry-Evans is extremely overrated. There is no way he was a better halfback than Pearce this year. And Beau Scott? That's an insult to nearly every other half decent second rower in the comp. How Jamie Lyon managed captain of the year I have no idea. And James Segeyaro over Friendy is a joke. I realise that it's not about who are the best players but fair dinkum it just looks like a farce when a team like this gets chosen.

As usual I think most of the decisions are a load of cr@p and it's pretty amazing that no Roosters are in the list given we won more games than anybody. Blah blah blah... a pretty good year for us but no credit for it unfortunately.
Ahhh... so one Souths player and people are whinging that souths will win "everything"

How Sam Moa(10) and Boyd Cordner(7) got more points than Jake Friend (5) pretty much sums it up for me. The system is absolute bs. The king himself freddy has never won one either, while trent Barrett and Matt Orford have go figure.....Comment of the year:
Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,
"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

a total bias disgrace, just like the nrl referees? do we need perhaps to be a bit more humble? difficult I know when we all know were the best rugby league club in the world! I think this creates animosity towards us even going onto the r4efs 50/50 calls and apparent bias? the game is run by media organisations still , just transcribe nine for Murdoch now?though I do agree with jt and hayes as co recipients it also seems to be a bit of a popularity contest?im flabbergasted at lyons best captain and no mention of jake at hooker, but dce gets top half? we all know our jnr jnr is much better!

Based on the whole season I don't think Pearce was better than DCE. Based on the last 5 weeks he was 100x better though.
It is quite interesting that minor premiers get very few points, maybe because its a team game, maybe because the journos that award the points are morons.
The biggest joke of the whole night was Ben Hunt getting more points than DCE yet DCE gets halfback of the year. The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

We were minor premiers, so IMO we were clearly the 'best' team this year (excluding the finals). However, I think people's impression of us suffered from the weight of expectation.
IMO people expected us to play better and over-rated the efforts of our opponents as a result. They were expected to lose so played amazing games even when we scraped out tight victories... while our boys were told that a tight victory was indicative of poor form.
IMO we were the best team this season and should have been given a little more credit. Back to back minor premierships ain't easy!!!

How can it be possible that members of the team that won the minor premiership with the best for and against record of all teams, did not receive one single award, or have any player finish in the top ten of voting for the major prize, which is for performances over the 26 rounds of the minor premiership?

Looking at the grand finalists, only 2 players from the dally m are involved, and out of the top two teams in the premiership only one player. Seems it's easier to stand out in an avg team than a good team.
How hayne got 2 points from that raiders match is beyond me.

To my mind the only player we deserved to be considered was Jake. We were too inconsistent and its amazing we managed to get the minor prem. Prob more to do with the overall class within our squad. But in the end we were beaten by a lack of hunger and a lack of discipline. If we had of got those right no one would have come near us.Embrace the Hate! JC
