Apart from Sam Moa, who was originally from the NRL anyway, we haven't had much success in recent times. For mine, the ESL is made up of two classes of players, the elite and the very mediocre. Unless we are willing to pay huge $ and sign players like Burgess, Graham or Tomkins , the rest are very average.
There is another one coming - though probably not to 2016.

I will remember him for having scored what should have been the winning try against Penrith only to be robbed by incompetent referees and patronised by moronic commentators.

he did score the winning try v riff but it was illegally disregarded!

and its this stupid righteous attitude of not complaining to the ref that leads to us being duded of tries and penalties.

Having a moral compass isn't stupid in my opinion. Would you rather we play like souffs?

I feel FPN should now play the role of Casty. Play for Wyong and only show up in the RWB when we have many injuries. Casty was only signed as a depth player and I doubt it was on too much money. Overall I think he did a goid job. What did everyone expect from him in a handful of games as a second/third stringer? Value for money he gave us more than what FPN gave us and FPN was always in the top 17.

I think he did a decent job for what he was brought to the club to do. To come into the squad if someone was Injured, he wasn't signed to become a NRL superstar.

Good luck to the bloke, he always gave plenty of effort when he played and never shirked the hard stuff. Unlike others we've bought over the years on much bigger money who didn't make any effort.

A 4 year deal would be very hard to knock back as a 29 year old - he may never be offered that again. And I'm sure it's better money than what he was on at the Chooks.

He had a sea change for a year, enjoyed the experience, and is returning home to the club that developed him. It's all good for everyone involved.

In the game against the riff, it didn't matter - esp the Casty no try.

Well, I for one am sad to see Remi go as I thought he gave it his best shot here in the time he was given. As some of you have pointed out, he provided more effort than FPN who I think is the one that should be criticised for doing so very little.

You are right. I think people assumed he would be Sam Moa II. Good luck to Frenchy for the rest of his career.

I actually thought he was a decent player (in my world he scored the winning try v the Panthers)... however his whole signing just confused the F out of me!!

We had such a strong team/bench that we could sign arguably France's best player (who was willing to play for peanuts) and give him SFA in terms of opportunities.

Waste of our time/cap and a waste of his as well.

Yes goodluck to him, apparently a good bloke, but just not up to NRL standard, he'll go ok back in the ESL after a season of NRL under his belt.
