But if letting go of FPN and remi casty free's up enough money to buy merrin then welcome aboard

A couple of signings I would like to see are Sam Lousi and Matt Srama.
Srama is only 23 and looked really good at hooker for the tits a year or two ago. Injury and from what I can tell a falling out with Cartwright, has restricted him lately. I would rather have Srama and let Stranger go. A back up hooker to Friend is very important, and I would prefer Maubs be utilized in the backrow.
No doubt Hastings will be used as a utility, but ideally be called upon in case of an injury. Hastings will be more comfortable in the halves and fullback, whilst Srama is a specialist dummy half.
Sam Lousi is a mountain of a man, a prop/secondrower standing at 198cm and weighing 116kg, aged only 23. Under the right coaching, he could prove to be a devastating impact player off the bench or even possible starter. We need added firepower in the forwards, as shown in that finals game against $ouff$ where we were overpowered in the forwards. The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

I also think Toupo is showing some loyalty to the club and it would have to be some massive incentive for him to leave for another club. I think the raiders could throw up to $1m and he still wouldn't take it. Who wants to play in Canberra?Last edited by ROC181; 10-02-2014, 02:22 PM.

It's going to be an interesting few months in regards to signings and losing players.
I for one would love to see Merrin in a roosters jersey. He is a metre eater and works hard in D. Plus his offloading ability would see the likes of friend, rts, pearcey and Maloney carve up. However id only sign him if it meant we could still keep our current players, mostly JWH, Skd, Tupou, guerra and Maloney (if the club still wants him).
As for Tupou, I can't see him leaving as there is no doubt he loves the club and in playing outside Jennings, he won't get too many centres of his calibre and who aren't hogs (if he went to Canberra, in playing outside Croker he would be playing outside the biggest hog in the NRL) playing inside him.
The same can be said in regards to loyalty with JWH, Guerra, Maloney and especially SKD. Moa and Aubo, for example, knocked back huge offers from elsewhere to stay here; Aubo would start in almost every other NRL side but ours. I think the love for Trent and the fact our club is so well run, will ensure almost all of our players will stay.
