I love the Roosters but I love the game of Rugby League more & I wouldn't miss watching a NRL GF for anything.
As I watched the game as a supporter of the game I thought the game was a tough grinding game for 65 minutes but ultimately Souths were the better team & deserved to win.
On big Sam, what an incredible player, the best forward in the game & IMO the best Pommie along with Morley that has ever played in the NRL, I don't care what anyone says he was inspirational, to watch him play the whole game with a broken cheek bone & get the Clive Churchill is legendary stuff, he will be sorely missed.
I hope that it doesn't work out for him in that $hit game that he is going to & returns to the NRL where he belongs.
Go the Mighty Roosters.

I was sweet till 1/2 time although I could only see out of one eye. I don't remember a lot of the game but from what I was told I actually played well, unusual for me. Even managed a couple of goals.
Stopping at 1/2 time and the adrelinon I was running on farked me though. I was prepared to keep playing but the coaches wouldn't allow it. Considering I was playing in the park and it wasn't a GF that's the smart move.
That's where I thought Squirrel would struggle, after 1/2 time. After he cooled down.
I know when I returned 5 weeks later for the semis I took a hit up, was tackled around the bootlaces and vomited. The pain was some of the worst I'd ever felt. I wasn't supposed to play according to the docs but it was a semi. It wasn't enjoyable. That cheekbone randomly twitched for years after that.
Pain is mental. It's also part of the game especially in the front row. Many a player has played with worse than a fractured cheekbone though. The human body and mind can adapt to anything if required.
What Squirrel did was tough but Ch9 went waaaaaaaaaay over the top mentioning it every 30 seconds, IMO.

I don't get the political stuff, it's wasted on me. I honestly don't see the point.
And I don't drink premixers, soft drinks blow. That is truly soft. Like Shandy.
Buy a bottle and some ice with a dash of mineral you dead set arsemonkey.

I knew my place. Just a plodder.
I'm unsure does Gherkin understand the way the grades used to run???
From memory Matts 15s, D grade 16s and 17s, C grade 18s and 19s, B grade 20s and 21s then A grade.
Usually you'd be graded around B grade of you were good enough. I wasn't that for sure.
Anyhow that missed the point of the exercise, as usual when you post on the forums.
One would think I'd know better by now.
