Is it just me or was the past season the worst or one of the worst that you can remember? This is not sour grapes but I also think that the Souths love fest over the past few weeks is also connected. For a long time I have considered the referee conspiracy guys to be a bit nuts and still do. However, it is pretty hard to ignore what has been going on.

Games are becoming more and more boring. Tickets prices and concessions are obscenely priced. Game after game is played to empty stadiums. The referees play by different rules from week to week. Crowds have been down significantly and even ours as reigning premiers have been poor. Scheduling of matches is also a joke.
NRL is a violent sport that has little place in modern society. The shoulder charge was banned. Now fighting has been banned. Then there is the wrestle. I honestly believe our beloved sport is dying. The officials and the coaches don't care about the quality of the game or the spirit in which it is played. They simply focus on results.

I put it to you that the 2014 NRL Finals Series was a load of shit. The fix was in and not through underworld figures. I believe the NRL decided their best bet was to make sure Souths won the GF and would provide the feel good story of the year. Think about it. Think about the commentary. Think about the refereeing, looking at certain things, not looking at others. The game has become laughable. This is WWF. The saddest thing is that Souths might have been good enough to do it without the help. I think they have been ripped off in a sense as well.

What you've said, which I believe, was confirmed when they rang that ****ing bell before both teams ran out.

Are they ****ing kidding with that shit? It's supposed to be a neutral GF.

Instead Souffs were treated like returning conquering heroes.

It was like Augustus returning to Rome after a campaign or some shit.

The whole GF week felt like a scripted sob story. The NRL were in heaven. And that has to call into question their impartiality.

Finally, the 6-1 penalty count to Souffs in the second half against us was uncomfortably suspicious. Even all the knock on calls. Basically from 12 nil up, every decision went Souffs way.

But who is surprised? It was reminiscent of when the Lakers got every call imaginable vs the Sacramento Kings in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.

Commentators have come out and said they felt uncomfortable watching that game, such was the bias towards the Lakers. And the lead official has since been imprisoned for fixing.

I'm not saying that a fix of similar magnitude was in place, but the referees had to feel the pressure of the Souffs love story. Like GF week we got no coverage that week. It was all about Souffs.

I'm also uncomfortable to say the least that Ben Cummins was at Souffs training a few weeks before being chosen to referee our Prelim. Why wasn't Hayne chosen? It was the biggest Prelim in years and he's the no.1 ref.

The whole finals series has felt uncomfortable in that sense. Scripted.

And the NRL got the story they wanted. Coupled with the wrestling, and some of the appalling games we've seen as a result, I believe it has been a fairly dire season.

Than again this year, it starts up again because Souths looked the goods 8 weeks out, are you really that stupid and naive to think a deal was done with all the referees, the NRL, channel nine and everyone else involved or was it that Souths were just too good this season and deserved the title just like we deserved it last season. I dislike sore losers, they usually are people who have never excelled in anything.

Makes me sick how a game has so many agendas. All of our so-called expert commentators just want to talk about controversy and fairytales, rather than talk about the bloody game itself.

I often watch AFL shows. They concentrate on the game, not waste people's time about their dislike for clubs or certain players.
