I highly doubt Robbo would want the two most slappable faces in the league in one team (Fergo and Boyd).
Would also take up an insane amount of cap space for someone who is an average player considering his rep honours.
Cant be true surely...

First JT, now DB, it wouldn't surprise me if come round one next year we ended up with JS( jack S**t) during our offseason recruitment.
We don't need any players. I know this year we didn't achieve our expectations but we have a solid squad of players. Many of these young guys are going to start hitting their peak career form over the next two seasons. Making signings for the hell of it is stupid and we end up like the dragons. This is a chance for us to create a 5+ yr dynasty under robbo, like manly and Melbourne . Running to the chequebook every second gets us in 2009 form. It's not the answer.
I know everyone is going to throw up the SBW argument, but SBW signings don't come around everyday. TBH, i think we need to be more concerned about keeping our core players in our squad over the next few years and way from rival clubs.Comment of the year:
Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,
"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Lol this rumour sent a roosters Facebook page into overdrive. Last night it was that Andrew Johns was our new assistant.
Wonder what tomorrow be, hopefully something a bit more stupid (if possible) to see more idiots fall for something crazy

Would I be happy if this were true? Unfortunately when he's not playing outside GI, Boyd is a pretty ordinary player IMO. That said, he doesn't touch girl's vaginas at nightclubs and has a clean record. My only concern would be his depression. I don't want to attack him for something that's beyond his control (to an extent) and shouldn't be a measure of his form. However, it's a serious challenge that he would bring with him. Who knows though... maybe moving away from Newcastle will magically cure his depression? IMO he would have gone through a lot of BS up there with lardball Tinkler, Wayne and having a pretty scrappy squad full of druggos/hasbeen's around him. A couple of years ago I'd say definitely not, but the Roosters could offer a nurturing environment for him where he could thrive.
When a guy is going through serious depression and still scoring lots of tries at Origin level, who knows what he's capable of if we can manage his depression? IMO managing depression is much more desirable than managing a guy who has a history of sexually assaulting women.
Fergo's got more talent, but Boyd is a fullback. Hopefully RTS is our fullback, but if he isn't... Boyd wouldn't be a terrible option. I think our club (including the coaching/management staff and the stability we've created over the past 2 years) would be a good environment for a guy who is more likely to let down himself rather than others around him.
