Even though the past 10 months or so it might seem that way.

Admittedly, I have been busy - but would drop by every now and then to make sure this hasn't blown up and to also deal with server issues. Most are resolved or are in the process of being resolved.

I've spent the past 18 months working on some new web software. It's not finished, but it will be soon and when it is it will be brought across and implemented here, into TheChookpen.

I demoed this software to another organisation within the NRL and they were pretty impressed with what I showed them. The idea is to bring this across to TheChookpen permanently.

The player ratings thing we did for a while was an experiment to test the engagement of our members and I was really happy with how that worked. This new platform will cater towards that and let you vote on the players without needing me to manually do any work. The stats will update in real time.

I have no ETA on this, but the target goal is before Round 1, 2015.

Are there any updates or fixes for the mobile phone android app? Still get an error message every time, as do many others. Have uninstalled, reinstalled etc. Does no good.

Don't know who's issue it is but i have to use a VPN to access the site.

Yeah I dunno if I have to use a VPN but the stability has been rubbish... guessing there's some kind of a filter to prevent DOS, or it's being hosted at home. Either way I can often access the site using my 3G but not my WiFi (or vice versa). Really annoying when I've just typed up a post, hit send and nothing is posted. Not sure if others are experiencing this?
