I don't understand that myself. From the footballing side, who better to start off with than against the premiers and our arch rivals? And from a commercial side, that is a definite money maker. Seems strange too me.

maybe the nrl wants to start poor poor souffs into the year gently, so they play the faiders, shire, titts and west in the first 4 rounds on Saturday afternoons, or will souffs now be the Friday night team for the nrl

Good they can have it, I'm sick of the predictability of playing Souths in the first round every year.

Probably would be different if it was our home game.

Correct me if im wrong, but isn't it our home game?

2012 we played them at Anz, 2013 we played at home, 2014 we were away, so in 2015 isn't it our home game?

I thought it swapped every year

From what I've heard all teams will have on next year as it's the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli.

THE NRL couldn’t fair dinkum organise a chook raffle. The premiership draw for 2015 has again been delayed and won’t be revealed until the middle of next month.

The AFL released theirs weeks ago. So, too, did the Waratahs. Dave Smith now has a new nickname — The Snail.

                        2 weeks they reckon.

The draw is taking extra extra long to come out, as it needs to please exactly what packer/crowe want for $ouff$ and what murdoch wants for the broncos. Once packer/crowe and murdoch give their approval that the draw 'hugely' favors their teams as much as it possibly can, then the draw will be released! So expect $ouff$ and broncos to be on just about every Friday night, except when they have a bye the following week, then they won't mind to play on a Monday night as they won't be affected by a short turnaround. Also $ouff$ will want to play as many good teams as possible just the once.

Also another reason why the draw is taking so long, is that not only will packer/crowe and murdoch want the draw to favor $ouff$ and broncos as much as possible, they will want the draw to f**k us over as much as possible!! Expect us to be given plenty of short turnarounds between games, as much travel as possible so we have to go down to Melbourne, up to Townsville and over the NZ, and they will make sure that crap teams we only play once.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                          Here's looking at you, kid.
