  • Tau tau in fight at club

Several NRL players have been questioned following a wild night in a Brisbane VIP nightclub booth.

North Queensland Cowboys centre Tautau Moga was arrested while Canterbury Bulldogs veteran Reni Maitua is understood to have been at the nightclub when the incident occurred.

It is understood the Samoan players fought with another group of men and police were called to the scene but players refused to co-operate with them.

The unsavoury drama casts a shadow over the Four Nations tournament that kicks off this Saturday with a blockbuster double-header at Suncorp Stadium.

Interesting. I heard from someone with connections to Easts that Tau is a knob and that the other players didn't like him much.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

At least he's no longer in Roosters colours but I'm sure we'll get the obligatory 'former Roosters centre'..

There's no female companionship at home. You're a 25yo single guy, fit as and buffed up, you want to put yourself on show and grab some of the action, that won't happen at home

If only he could transfer that aggression to his defence on the field.

According to the Courier Mail, North Queensland centre Moga was partying with his Samoa team-mates ahead of their Four Nations opener against England on Saturday, when a disagreement broke out at the Hot Gossip nightclub in Fortitude Valley on Sunday morning.

Moga is said to be one of eight men charged over offences including public nuisance and assault.

Canterbury utility Reni Maitua was also believed to be present at the nightclub when a scuffle broke out between the Samoan players and another group of men and police were called.

                  Scuffle?
                  Doesn't sound too serious.
