So when is the club going to tell us anything?

Do they intend to leave it to the telegraph to keep the fans up to date with whats going on?

I'm not on twitter so forgive me if they posted something there, but to my way of thinking the clubs official website should be where the fans are kept up to date with whats going on inside the club.

This is just another example of the clubs disregard for its fans,

Sydney Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to miss start of season
      By Andrew Webster
January 19, 2010 Just when Sydney Roosters thought they'd consigned their misfortune to the past, backrower Jared Waerea-Hargreaves dislocated his shoulder and will miss the start of the season.

The New Zealand international - who will celebrate his 21st birthday on Wednesday - crashed to the ground during an innocuous tackling drill at Centennial Park.

Roosters medical staff called an ambulance for the rookie forward, who has impressed many at the club since he first started training a fortnight ago.

He had an MRI scan and will have an arthroscopic examination later in the week.

"We were training this morning and everyone was getting into the session and I got myself into a situation in a tackle where I injured my shoulder," he said.

"It was just a sublux (where the shoulder joint pops out, then back in) so I am lucky it wasn't worse.

"I've had scans and will have an arthroscope later this week.

"It's a disappointing injury, but at least I will be back by round four and it didn't happen later in the season.

"I will just work with the physios and get back on to the field as soon as possible.'

Waerea-Hargreaves's injury is a cruel blow, but it will not be enough for the Roosters to backflip on their position concerning unwanted forward Willie Mason, who is still on extended leave as he searches for a new club.

After a horrific 2009 season for the Roosters in which a score of off-field incidents translated to a wooden spoon on the field, Waerea-Hargreaves's signing from Manly was considered a major coup.

That optimism only grew after his impressive form for the Kiwis during 2009's Four Nations tournament, in which he brazenly baited Kangaroos veteran Petero Civoniceva in the opening match in London.

Since arriving at the club at the start of the year, he has impressed coaching staff and senior players.

On Monday, he and former St George Illawarra prop Jason Ryles worked tirelessly in tandem as they dragged weights and completed drills in the morning sun.

Yet it was a collision with teenage forward Boyd Cordner later in the session that caused his shoulder to pop out.

Roosters coach Brian Smith did not learn about the injury until he returned from Monday's meeting of NRL club bosses, coaches and players to discuss an independent commission.

"He's been exemplary since he got here - so it's a cruel blow," Smith said.

"But it's a mark of the man that he's accepted it and ready to do whatever it takes to come back.

"We'll put him in the best of hands and hopefully he can make it back in round four, possibly sooner. It's one of the hazards of the job."

Smith had already given Waerea-Hargreaves the weekend off to fly home to New Zealand to celebrate his 21st birthday.

Whilst JWH will be a big loss early in the season, at least the forwards is a position where we are more than covered. After all we collect forwards like the Vermin supporters collect dole cheques.

What we don't need is any injuries to our backline, so we have to do the usual and plug up the hole with a bleeding forward.

Oh yeah? Says who? Maybe in "vermin" land they do, don't know they do elsewhere.

I expect the Knights to have this year's sown up.

If he isnt there in Round 1.....MAJOR loss, and Souffs will have too much in teh forwards. This bloke is our new Morley. We need him big time to succeed. his passion and agression will inspire our other pigs and scare teh **** out of the opposition - like Morley did.

Now Im going to sand my wooden spoon.
It's a long season, no point in rushing him.

The plan these days is to stay in or around the pack (ie top 8) until State of Origin, then try to kick away after origin.

Well, in all fairness the bloke that knocked him should take his place.

The plan for us is to flog Souffs. Who's talking top 8? Little steps. Without John Winston Howard and Myles, we have a soft as pie pack of pretty boys.

He meant the actual wooden spoon, not the NRL wooden spoon. So he still has an extra one lying around.

I have suggested that he paint it red and white (after all he already has the paint) and and present it to his GF who is a Drag Queen supporter and a chef, but that didn't go down too well.

Not sure about Knights getting the NRL wooden spoon this year. I reckon that Stuart's Guppies are a chance as well.

That may just be the vermin scums downfall.Too big if you ask me.Im tipping they lose quite a few games by getting run down in the last 10 or 20 minutes this year.

I'm with you, especially if teams get their 2nd phase play going against them. They will have holes all around their ruck. They don't have the smarts, anywhere on the field, let alone around the halves to take advantage of their size and dominance when they have the ball.

They remind me of the 'Dogs, circa 2006 - 2007, big and angry but dumb as dog shit. We couldn't cope then, and they won't now.

Bit like us, I guess, with Parra and St George.

Although, through a friend who is a Souths director, I have come to understand that the rivalry goes a couple of layers deeper with you.

What's sad Imadog is that I'm actually a product of Vermin supporters - both my parents are/were Vermin supporters, based I suspect on the fact that they were a successful club when my parents arrived in this country in 1960.

I didn't even realise Dad followed the Vermin until after my mother's death, when I gave a handknitted Vermin scarf and beanie I found amongst her belongings to my mother's Vermin loving friend, only to have my father point out that they were actually his not hers after I handed them over! I felt really guilty and was prepared to ask for their return but he said not to bother. Talk about a silent supporter - unusual amongst the Vermin faithful I know.

The family have been buying him Vermin merchandise the last few years, and it came back to bite me on Xmas Day when I turned up at his nursing home to find that the staff had decked him out in Vermin polo and cap. Merry Christmas (not)

The staff looked so happy with their efforts I didn't have the heart to do anything but tell him how well dressed he was - that took about all the Christmas cheer I had.

the way that myles runs the ball up (or should i say goes in slow motion), he is one of our sofest.

                                Myles is soft? lol

Myles' game isn't about hit ups. Never has been. Myles is a top class defensive forward, one of the best in the NRL. Check out some his low tackling when you get a chance
