Myles has had a free ride for 3 years from the Roosters - being highly paid and delivering very little other than negative headlines.
But, surprising even myself, I am prepared to give him this season to produce performances something close to what he is capable of for the Roosters.
He has the talent. But that means fark all if he can't manage the commitment, passion and focus for the RW&B.
So far at the Roosters, what he's capable of and what he's produced are poles apart. He has a season of my support to change that, on the proviso that he keeps his nose (and everything else) clean off the field.
In the washup, only Myles himself can ultimately decide whether he chooses to be an asset, rather than a liability.

Teh bloke is showing he wants a red hot go at teh Roosters. i think Smith has encouraged and promoted that. I applaud both for the plan.
He has the talent, the agression and the will. He just hasnt given a rats arse to date - because thats what teh enviornment at the club has bred - careless attitudes. They are on the mend, and hopefully Myles as well as others can continue on their new found attitude.
Im willing to back he will.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

Anasta, whilst I do love his committment and the fact that he actually looks like he gives a shit, is the slowest 5/8 in the NRL and his partnership with Pearce has produced the least potent halves combination in the comp.

As for Anasta, he tries very hard, but is just so painfully slow.
So, when you combine a 1/2 who does little more than kick, and the slowest 5/8 in the comp, the result is a halves pairing that is not particularly potent. Or threatening, if you wanted another word. Or dangerous
And when you combine that halves pairing with slow centres with no footwork, centres who are forwards, and slow wingers, what do you get?

Who has Mitchell had in the coaching ranks to improve his game since he came into first grade? Anderson and Fittler, both of whom have been shown as failures as far as coaching the Roosters are concerned.
Don't give up on the kid until he's had a season or two under a decent coach with proper support and structures in place. Something he's never had before.
Same goes for a few of our young blokes who have stagnated since coming into grade.
Smith cannot perform miracles overnight, but I'm sure we will see improvement across the park during 2010.

As does Myles
But there can surely be no denying that, thus far, Mitch has done very little
And coaching won't make Anasta fasterLast edited by Tries Off Kicks; 01-28-2010, 10:03 AM.

I reckon coach Smith isn't too afraid to drop players for poor performance especially now that we have a bit of depth albeit young and relatively experienced. What i'm most looking forward to in 2010 is watching the young fringe 1st graders trying their hardest to crack a top spot i.e Cordner, Leilua, Blair, Naughton, Linnett and hopefully Williamson.
TOK, i accept Anasta aint fast but either is Lockyer!

At the same age, Lockyer would lap Anasta
