  • Without the burgarses to protect him, Walker was made to look like a bitch. I can't believe that people were rating him ahead of SKD and Jennings. Both SKD and MJ were easily the best centres on the park. SKD is running a lot more direct into the line which is when he is at his best. Jenko was brilliant as always. His move to the roosters has ignited his career in a big way. Mansour is not as good as toops. Under the highball, toops would have had a field day last night.

    Adiós to Sheens.

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

    • I think the clearest indication of SKD's maturity was after he made that break, he didn't panic and throw a dumb pass. Add to that his catching of Vatuvei's wild pass late in the second half showed that he's matured a lot.

I have maligned him in the past but he has shown me that I need to eat my words.
      SUPER DRAGON!

      • Sheens ****ed up not keeping Napa in the squad, he would have been terrific in that match last night, the referee let them go hard at each other and only Klemmer stood up to to the Kiwis in the middle, the rest were bullied.

Cordner was brought on for woods in the opening stages. Papalii and Thaiday got dominated. Thaiday 6 runs for 27m.

          goodbye to Sheens

Maybe he ran 'direct' because he was on the left 😀

            • Look at the stats of the bench, and therein lies the secret. The Kiwis slaughtered us! Tapau was instrumental, and before his injury was best forward on field coming off the bench.

              • For the life of me I do not see why Aaron Woods is rated so highly. The worst prop in the game.

                • Congratulations to SKD and the KIWIS.

And some people say test footy is boaring and not worth watching. Well that Four Nations series must be the best test footy for a long time. What a difference a neutral ref made, about time the NRL looked at that for the Grand Final.

                  • I watched the second half and for the first time in a long time with audio. In hindsight I should have had on mute.

It would be interesting if we played with that English ref for 6 games and then compared stats with the local refs

                      • That pommy ref was far from flawless, he missed a few things, but it seemed fair. The crap was not there near as much in the ruck and people are certainly not going on about his performance. Apart from saying how refreshing it was.

                        • Maybe England should send a couple of refs over for some games in the NRL. If Sutton is our best then we are in trouble.

Smith and Klein were both top referees in the english game, then they were "coached" by Robert Finch and turned to shit. Klein in particular was a superb referee in England, within a season of being under the Finch regime he had been turned into an angry, arrogant, mindless puppet......just the way Finch wanted it.

I was prepared to wear the little misses, where a second ref would have called penalty for a bit of lying in the ruck, the one ref missed it and the important thing is he missed em from both sides so it evened up. But the flow of the game was great and Australia were the first to wilt, simple as that.

Bring back the one ref. I've changed sides, the two ref system is an abortion, bring back the one ref.

                                Chook.
