Indeed.

That was seriously one of the best RL matches I've ever witnessed.

And I'm calling it. SKD's best ever game. He was outstanding and he'll be a shoe-in for Players' Player.

Saved them in defense numerous times. Ran some great, intelligent decoys all night. Made heaps of metres. Just kept on going.

The action was non-stop with both teams at each other for 80. We just have to go back to 1 ref - it's such a better game without over-refereeing.

We can only hope the nrl could be played and reffed like this.

The best games I've seen the past 12 months have been England-NZ at RLWC, Samoa-NZ also at the RLWC and England-NZ today.

International rugby league is showing the way in how the game should be played.

No BS , the quality of football in the 4 nations has been extremely entertaining. The flow of footy is far better with just the one ref and the there is far less lying down for penalties.

just as a side note, If George Burgess was in our team, he would cop more penalties than MLK and JWH put together. He takes an eternity to get off players in the ruck.

F**king oath george Drago burgar$e would!! george earns the nickname Drago, as every time I see him he reminds me of the character Drago in Rocky 4, looks like him, and when you see the scene of Drago being injected with steroids I automatically think of george (along with her sisters $am and tommy)! It is all about what jersey you are wearing!!

I agree with everyone on here who thinks that we should go back to 1 ref, as the international games are clearly a f**k load better spectacle to watch! But that doesn't suit $ouff$, who heavily rely on all the extra penalties in order to win. So because of what is best for $ouff$, the NRL will keep the 2 refs. Corrupt c***s!!

I think Boyd has been very very poor in this series. Looks tired to me. No sting in defence and too many handling errors. Hope he rests up well for next year. We are going to need him

the reffing today was a joke even with 1 ref, i just think aussie refs suck in general.. the pommy ref for England vs New Zealand was great, he got a couple calls wrong but he kept out of the action for the most part and let the game flow without taking control like our aussie refs seem to do, our refs just seem to think there bigger then the game. i say lets swap our refs for the pommy ones

Only saw the highlights from the kiwis-poms game, but had it been a Roosters game, the kiwis last try would've been disallowed for skids obstructing a defender...Personally, i think he did anyway (ran straight at him), but in a club game, it would've gone against us...guaranteed...

Can someone please tell me why we had a Pommie ref for the NZ v Eng game and a Aussie ref for the Aus v Samoa game. Shouldn't they have swapped games. We better have a Pommie ref for the Final.

When Mickey Arthur was in charge, yes. He is the second worst appointment to any vacancy, the first being Gillard's appointment to PM.

I actually like the Aussie cricket team now. Lehman is a good bloke and the players are ok too.

I do currently want NZ to win, just so that sheens can be pissed off from the team.

Johnny for me it is the arrogance that Sheens shows for the fans and the Players , he is a remnant of a bygone era where the coach remains GOD like.

The players will do the job as asked , but don't play mind games - we learnt that with Smithy.

This Team picked even without the "names" and with the "Coaches Pets " has the talent and ability to take it out however they need reinforcement, support and direction from the Coach , not petty politics.

Go Australia , we are better when backed into a corner and a Just fight is expected.
