  • To quote a news ltd article just online:

Kennedy is set to sign with the Sydney Roosters as the Broncos clear cap space for Darius Boyd’s arrival and upgraded contracts for Josh McGuire and Ben Hunt.

    • A tremendous depth signing.

And I don't rate MLK highly, but he is a good depth signing.

Who else has a 5th or 6th prop option as good as MLK?

And Brisbane are paying for it! Well played Roosters, well played.

      • not a fan of bringing Kennedy back, we need a backup hooker and big body back rower even more than a 5th-6th string prop.

it sucks we get Kennedy back and the Broncos promote Joe Ofahengaue who is a star in the making and was poached from our SG Ball side a couple of years ago.

        • So the rumour about one of our fringe players being farmed to the UK Super League could be true.

I think Liu and Napa will spend some time at lock this year. Kennedy's signing allows us that option.

Take a look at Marty's stats at the end of the season after he had that stint in the Queensland Cup... He definitely improved from the player we'd seen for the past couple of years.

That's why I quite like the idea of JWH shedding a few kilos and moving to the lock position. This will give JWH a bit more speed and mobility, allow him to play more minutes, and give him the opportunity of on occasion running on the edges at the oppositions halves and getting some offloads away in a similar style role to $am burge$$.

By shifting JWH to lock, it will give Evans more of an opportunity as well. And it is easy enough for JWH to revert back to prop if ever needed.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.

I'd be gutted if Kane left to SuperLeague.

                    • They reckon it's only on a loan, to gain playing experience at the top level.

Well I wouldn't blame him as he is continually pushed down the pecking order it would seem. He'll probably end up at the Storm and become a sensation there!

                        • Wow 13 pages already on the potential signing of the "Park ranger". And here I was thinking the off-season was going to be a quiet one for us on the recruitment front! If he could bring his new found discipline back to the chooks he could be the buy of the week.

                            • Just had a look at Kennedy's stats. What the hell are people talking about he's improved?! He had one game over 100m out of about 7. Another 80m from 8 runs in 20 mins. Granted he wasn't given much time. But he still had a fair few errors and penalties by the looks of things. Didn't see those games so can only go off stats and they don't look all that outstanding to me. I'm jumping into the "hell no" club. Getting flashbacks of how frustrated I used to be with him.
