Does this other forward have the potential to be a superstar? Or is it just another depth signing?

I wouldn't say a superstar however he has potential and if he lives up to his tough defence he should be a regular off the bench.

I'm hoping these mid-range forwards are only on 1-2 year contracts and are planned to be use as depth players until someone comes available in 2016/2027 such as Merrin, Taumalolo or Sonny. I understand we have many players to re-sign but surely the money used to be signing players such as willie Manu, Kennedy and this other forward (which based on minimum value and MK's estimated 150k would add up to 300?) could be used on one really good forward?

As I said if these are only 1-2 year deals and this money will eventually be used to sign a top forward then fair enough, but if not then i don't understand why we are signing fringe players. Even why we are doing it now is weird, considering we have Guerra, Cordner, Aubo, Napa, Meehan, Liu, leuluai, Evans, JWH, Moa and FPN (as it currently stands) as forwards. Surely that's enough depth?

Obviously Robbo knows what he is doing, but I'm a tad bemused as to why we are signing these depth forwards

The bloke I'd be going after is Chris Hill the English prop. Very fast into the line with excellent footwork to get him on his front. Looks to have a good workrate too. Would make for the perfect starting prop with JWH, with Moa and one of the younger guys to come off the bench. But he'd probably be asking a lot and would be wrapped up for quite a while I'd imagine.

If signing Martin Kennedy means we're more likely to to have more than just Jake defending our line against the likes of a rampaging Ben Teo then I'm all for it. I'm hearing all sorts of stuff about lateral movement blah blah blah, but from what I can recall MK's defense was always top shelf and something that was definitely missing in those crucial moments in the prelim loss to the vermin.

There was talk of him joining our club a few years ago while he was at Brisbane. Strange that robbo would sign him though cause he is a similar player to FPN. Could be a depth signing.

IMO Langi is a player that is far better than reggies and his progress was slowed by his Christian mission... Could be a bit of X in attack.
