Maloney to Sharks 2016?

Strange prediction for so far down the track.

He certainly wasnt as strong as 2013, but Im still a fan. Our try's are worth 6 points.

That said, there are clubs that will offer Jimmy 500k a year over 3 years. Hard to turn down when it'll be his last playing contract and he has a young family.

we are probably going to lose a chunk of players that are off contract at the end of next year so I wouldn't be surprised. Sharks still have to replace Todd carney.

I don't think we will lose many. The will to consistently be successful and work for the coach they love will surely keep most of them together. I understand the likes of Maloney cause he has a young family and would be mad to not take his highest offer, but I can see most of the boys taking less and staying

Makes sense now after reading the SMH story on Taumololo off contract 2016. Hastings & Latrell coming through. Big money will be needed to land Taumololo.

for a team that signed daniel Holdsworth and Eric Grothe, it doesn't suprise me that they will go for Maloney in 2016.

Just like how we replaced Mini with RTS, we will replace Maloney with SOH.

SOH will have earnt a start by then and I can't see us getting rid of Friend or Pearce to accommodate that.I just hope Maloney doesn't do to us what he did to the warriors and sign with the sharks this preseason. It creates a bit of awkwardness within the team.

But they do have Danny Wicks...

He is good for a couple f 60m runaway tries against us (if they play at Gosford).

I actually feel for Parra fans. 2/3 spoons and they were just getting back on track and Hayne fuucks them. They could get another spoon next season now (though Ricky will push them).

you get the feeling that the plan all along was for SOH to takeover from Maloney in 2016 anyway, it also wouldn't surprise if Toups or SKD are a cap casualty, Guerra/JWH must be priorities.

I have a feeling we will lose FPN, Maloney, JWH, SKD and Toups in the next couple of years.

FPN, Maloney, SKD and Toups I think will get signed up by other NRL clubs offering big money and we have good youngsters coming through to replace them.

JWH I think will go to union.

But this will be offset I think with us signing Taumololo, Ferguson and upgrading Guerra, and the others that are coming off contract.
