Watch as the NRL look after these two teams with the match scheduling when the draw finally comes out!! They will both be given just about every Friday night so that they never/or hardly ever have a short turnaround between games, and ensure that most weeks they come up against a team with a short turnaround.
I won't be surprised at all in the slightest if we are given a Monday night, or a hot Sunday 1st round which is starting us off right behind the 8 ball straight away!! Starting on the Thursday night round 1 ensures you get off to the best possible start as you get a great turnaround between games, so it was always naturally going to be a broncos vs $ouff$ Thursday night, even though the tradition has been there for some years now that we play $ouff$.
The cheating has already begun for next year, nothing f**king changes with the packer/ru$ty and murdoch controlled NRL!!The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!
Here's looking at you, kid.

I believe that Thirteen you are correct with your point as this fixture means there will be significant interest in both states as opposed to just Queensland had the NRL gone with a Brisbane Broncos vs North Queensland Cowboys opener. Channel 9 try their best for their own interest to arrange matches by the way of ratings and I believe that these two teams are the two highest ratings teams in the NRL so it does make sense from their point of view. I personally am not too concerned on what round or what day we play any teams.

good point. We'll miss the revenue. Do Souffs get the home match or the Broncos?
Whilst the 2 points of playing a team like Tigers will help, I cannot see why they abandon tradition? Double standards again from the NaziRLWritten and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland
