GOLD Coast’s Matt Srama will remain at the Titans after having a change of heart over his move to the Sydney Roosters.

The 23-year-old hooker was back at training with the Titans last week, despite the Roosters announcing on November 20 they’d signed him on a one-year deal.

Titans’ assistant coach Terry Matterson confirmed Srama had backed out of the move to the Roosters at the last minute and will instead be staying on the Gold Coast.

“As far as I’m aware that’s where it is at the moment,” Matterson said.

“Obviously there was a bit of a misunderstanding and things weren’t just quite sorted out. Matty had a bit of change of mind at the last moment.

“For the foreseeable future Matty’s going to be a Titans player.”

    Enjoy QCup.

We dodged a bullet there because he's clearly an ambition-less peaheart.

He's basically chose to squat at GC HQ for the sake of 200k at the expense of his career.

Of course, when he signed, he was a 'great signing' and 'exactly what we needed'. But now that he's staying with the Titans, we 'dodged a bullet' because he is a 'pea heart'.

He didn't back out on the deal, when the news broke that he hadn't been fully paid by the Titans, he had to stay to ensure the Titans completed their end of the deal.

He will.... It's better than NSW CUP.

Had he signed with us, he would have struggled to retain a bench spot once Friendy was back. With SOH's development and robbo using him off the bench next season, Srama's career would have been on the scrap heap by season's end. At least at the titans with Beau Falloon, he has a competitive chance. The only way Srama was going to get game time at our club is when Friendy is injured.

He clearly backed out of the deal. We announced it on our website FFS.

And it was an excellent signing. He would have proven to be a quality back up.

That was until he was revealed as a Kimmorley-esque pea heart.

Robbo wants winners. Players that want to be the best they can be. Clearly Srama doesn't fit the bill as he's chosen full time QCup over a starting hooking role and potential full time interchange role at the Roosters.

The difference in the earn was about $20K. That's what he stayed there for. Instead of starting hooker at the premiership favourites for a couple of months (to try and impress us or another club) he will go out of sight in QCup for the season. It's career suicide.

If that isn't the definition of a fool I don't know what is.

And he did back out of the deal. Idiot should have had a release before he agreed to terms.

Case of should I stay or should I go now.

What about how his profile is up on the Roosters player profile & he is wearing his Titans shirt. That would have to be the biggest marketing balls up of all time. How stupid are they to have him in the Titans kit on the Roosters player profile. That will do me.
