  • more silly season rumours

Kane Evans was refused a release to join the Panthers, got no idea if true but have long thought if he doesn't get consistent first grade football he will ask to leave.

Raiders looking to snatch 4 players from the Chooks with FPN already secured they are hoping to get JWH/Maloney/Guerra for 2016.

as soon as the Roosters gain clearance for Fergo, SKD will be granted a release.

Shaun "Skidsy" Kenny Dowall is transferring to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks isn't he?

who really knows, that was the rumoured outcome, that he and Maloney would both head to the Sharks in 2016

wouldn't take any of the rumours seriously until the club confirms something, just a bit of fun to speculate on during the offseason, most rumours are just the fantasy of some twitter poster.

The Sharks are recruiting pretty well in my book.

A Sharks premiership remains the last great League fairy tale.

In my personal opinion RE Kane Evans, since we've let go of FPN i think it's guaranteed Kane will be in our team throughout the entire 2015 season. At first, when signing Kennedy, i'd say Kane would've been a bit nervous, but now i think he'll be certainly looking forward to making his presence known for next year

JWH, Moa, Cordner, Aubo, Guerra, Evans, Napa, Liu, Kennedy, Setu.

Assuming Robbo continues with his policy of including a utility on the bench (Hastings), these 10 forwards will be squeezed into 8 spots.

The first player I can see being squeezed out is Setu, who hasn't been the player he was before his Morman Mission.

The other player that might miss out is a toss up between Kennedy and Evans, and I'm not sure whether Robbo would bring Kennedy back to play reserve grade.

The only solution I can see for this is if Aubo WAS the utility, allowing for Guerra to slip onto the edge, making space for someone like Liu to slot into lock (replacing FPN), thus making space on the bench for Evans.

It's a tough one, but TIT.

Ideally, our forward pack + bench might look something like this...

            8. JWH
            9. Friend
            10. Napa
            11. Cordner
            12. Aubo
            13. Guerra

            14. Hastings (any utility)
            15. Kennedy
            16. Moa
            17. Liu

            18. Evans
            19. Kennedy

            Or something like this...

            8. JWH
            9. Friend
            10. Napa
            11. Cordner
            12. Guerra
            13. Liu

            14. Aubo
            15. Kennedy
            16. Moa
            17. Evans

            18. Setu
With Hastings playing under 20's or for Wyong.

I hope we don't have a utility, Aubo should be on the right edge, if someone gets injured he can slot in from there.

I think a bench of big forwards is more advantageous to us. Having Evans over Kennedy is also preferable.

They are more of a relocation candidate than anything.

Would be surprised if the NRL has them earmarked for a premiership any time soon.

I agree the NRL gains nothing from them winning a premiership other than the fairy tale for Rothfield and the few dozen Sharks supporters scattered across the country side

Fletch you use the word 'granted'. Are you saying SKD wants a release, or that he will be told to find somewhere else?

                        The lurker is also saying;

                        Coach doing it tough
So who's the coach I spoke of on Wednesday who is on the nose with his players? Some of you amateur detectives have had a stab but I can rule out one suspect for you. It's NOT Jason Taylor!

The clue is, it is down to a relatively new coach or one who is returning to a club after an absence.

From the clue given it has to be one of seven coaches; bennett, Flanagan, Green, McFadden, Stone, Arthur or McGregor.

Whichever one it is their club is stuffed already for next year.

                        Anyone know who it is?
