Couldn't disagree more, JWH is the number 1 priority this season, he's the leader of our forward pack. When he's fired up the rest of the team jump on his back and play off his energy. Macdonald is a ready made replacement for SKD or Toops, there is no ready made replacement for JWH.

Toops aerial ability may be the best in the NRL but it was irrelevant this year, I can't remember more than a couple of occasions when it actually came in handy. Unless the NRL crack down on blockers it's almost not even worth considering. With Toops, SKD & Ferguson all off contract next year at least one of them will be moving on and given Toops quickly rising status I get the feeling we're not going to be able to justify the money being thrown at him.

Nobody likes this situation but there are many major players off contract next season. JWH, Guerra, SKD, Toops, Napa, Maloney and Fergo. Obviously some of these players will have to go. SKD and Maloney are looking like they'll be gone. Napa shouldn't cost too much and Ferguson will probably re-sign if everything goes well.

I can't see us re-signing Jared, Guerra and Toops all together. I'm unsure how much they'd command on the Market but if I had to guess Jared would be close to 650-700k, Guerra 550k and Tupou 250-300k (massive overs from Canberra withstanding). Obviously Tupou would be the one left out it it came down to two out of the three, but I can't see us keeping both JWH and Guerra.

Then again with Sonny, Mini and FPN leaving this year, SKD, Maloney and some depth players leaving next year that'd leave a good amount left in the cap. Also with Pearce eligible for the long service, one club subsidisation, perhaps we're a chance to re-sign them.

You can't be serious you want to lose a top class front rower who intimidates teams for a winger who can be easily replaced with 1 of our young outside backs plus we just signed Fergo we've got cover if we lose Toups but it would be catastrophic if we lost an enforcer like JWH.

SKD to the Sharks JWH to Canberra Napa to the Titans, the Roosters have developed these guys, I think they need to be compensated & that they need to be retained. I don't believe there is another club who develops more players than the Roosters who are running around for other clubs.

Robbo needs to work on Napa's speed - he couldn't run out of sight on dark night

Craig "Wingy" Wing was a player who was lost to the club when the club wanted him to stay.
