  • Open Session in Canberra Sunday 21/12.

Just received a text from the club stating that the roosters have an open training session followed by a members meet and greet tomorrow for ACT members from 10am at Raiders Belconnen club in Kippax.

seen some photos of the boys out and about in Canberra

looks like JWH is carrying a calf injury, has a heavy compression bandage on it.

Got this text too, pretty keen for the opportunity considering the boys don't play in Canberra this season (again ... thanks NRL draw)

good to hear they are coping a flogging, might be their last session before breaking for Christmas.

Milanja, apart from Friend/Guerra/Cordner/SKD/Toups/Jennings is everyone else training today?

            are Fergo/JWH in full training?

Mate they had a 2.5hr session, two halves of full contact hard play. Jwh going real hard v napa. Took him high and jwh arked up. Good intensity. Fergo played full contact too, but in training drills just jogged up and down the field.

Spoke to canavan and he said its the last training run before the break so tb8e gave them big run. Sheck looked sharp.

Haha, love it. Nothing better than two mates going hard and leaving it all out on the field.

Canavan said jwh is 13kg ligher than last year. MK looks like our biggest forward.
Kane looks like he could be a centre, thin legs and slim all over, be nice if he added some bulk.

Good, JWH was way too big and unfit last season. Hopefully MK can can lose some weight as well, he's too cumbersome, he could benefit immensely from it IMO.

Evans is still filling out from what I've heard, adding numerous amounts of bulk at this stage could lead to injuries. Whilst a couple Kilo's wont hurt, gaining a lot could severely impact him.

Yep agree, but seeing him in the flesh, never though he was that slim.

MK had his top off and didn't look like je jad much fat on him, very solid boy, looks like he should bust the line all day. Hope he goes well this year.

                          Thanks for the update Milanja,

Well done to the club for taking a training session out into the regions to meet the fans down in the ACT.

                            It was awesome!!

                            A few photos... https://www.imgur.com/a/XR6F8

Canavan's a star... he took time to go around individually and chat with everybody.

Fergo... looks great!!! So does RTS and... Reuben? Reuben looked a little like RTS in my view.

Jake Friend was heavily strapped as expected. No training for him today.

A couple of players told me there's one more session tomorrow. Maybe just recovery though?

Notably it was REALLY hot and there were pretty well no stoppages for 2.5 hours. They did shuttles between each activity... IMO this kind of training is gonna put a lot of fuel in the tank for the boys next year. No more second half losses/fade aways IMO.

Oh and Fergo copped a LOOOOT of sh!t from Raiders fans (drinking above him on a balcony connected to the Raiders Club) as he was leaving. IMO some pretty disgusting comments were yelled at him. His reaction? Nothing. The last shot of him talking with (...Kane Evans?) is is reaction to having $h!t yelled at him. Not saying he's a new man, but IMO it possibly showed that his sessions with the psychologist are paying off. I reckon if he's mastered his mind and can keep cool, his form will also improve (not just off the field).

thanks for the photos/updates, it looked like the four nation boys were there, did Cordner/Jennings/Guerra/Toups/SKD train or were they just in attendance.

I remember reading somewhere that Robbo was giving them till after Christmas before returning.
