I agree with largely what you say about our performances...however, I personally believe also that we have been worn down over time with bias in officiating. Even in the last couple of years, how many times have we had to overcome monumental penalty counts to win games. Yes, we did it most times, but I believe that also takes a lot out of us (the fans as much as the players). I'd much rather cruise to victory every now and again by receiving 10 penalties a game, rather than having to perform at our absolute best while only receiving the standard 5 penalties....

That needs to be addressed before we bitch about the ref. Not to often are we genuinely the better team jb the day but lost it because of incorrect penalties. The game in 2013(?) against the warriors at Mt smart was one such game that stands out to me but they are few and far between. I don't believe the no try call against Penrith cost us the game. We were terrible. Against a team of kids.

I don't believe that our squad is far weaker this year than last year, and I don't believe that just finishing top 8 is seen as being acceptable. Anything less than top 4 will be unacceptable with the strength of our squad and coaching staff, along with comparing our team to the rest of the competition. Teams such as womanly and the Storm are on the decline. The cowboys have lost some good players in the Sims boys and tate, while $ouff$ have lost arguably their best player in $am $quirrel burgar$e and teo is a big loss along with all the pressures of being reigning premiers.
The bull$cumdog$hit and pamfers will most likely be our biggest threats, and the bull$cumdog$hit don't even have decent halves, while the pamfers have issues in the halves with Wallace's knee and jamie coward's pea heart.
Yes SBW is a massive loss, but from memory our record when SBW was out the past two years, we won most times. I know that doing that over an entire season is more difficult, but it is possible. We got rid of some dead wood in our forwards in FPN and Casty, while players such as Evans, Napa, Meehan, Setu, Kennedy, Leuluai, Hastings and Macdonald are all on the improve!
The X factor that we lose in SBW (even though SBW showed very little X factor last year and we still won the minor premiership), we gain back in Fergo! Fergo will prove to be the best signing for any club this year.
We have the fire power to go all the way! We just have to sort out two things, with one being our ball handling and the other penalties for and against (I know that I will raise a few eyebrows with that one). Fixing our ball handling mistake rate is certainly within our control, while the penalties for and against being a tricky one, especially penalties for. We can reduce the penalties against to an extent, but as most of us know (those who aren't DCs that is), the refs will always find some bullshit excuse to penalize us as they have it in for us and the stats prove that fact!!.
To fix the area of penalties for, as well as against, I believe that we need a media campaign to put pressure on the bastards!! We need to put all the statistics out there over the past 2 or more years (we can go back 10 years if we like), to show that we are being hard done by and finally deserve a fair go!! Our club can't just sit back any longer and continue to put up with this bullshit as it arguably cost us the premiership last year, and could potentially cost us the premiership this year!
People like Hasler, Toovey, Bellamy, bennett etc when they have a gripe about something (usually always about the refs or some rule) they go to the media jumping up and down about the issue they have, and nearly every time they get the result that they want. If Robbo doesn't want to be like them because of his pride or some other reason, then someone like Canavan needs to step up and go to the media and bring all the facts into the light, in order to finally get fair treatment by the refs.
What I would do is let it be known to tony archer and his poor excuse for refs, sometime between now and a week before round 1, that if they continue on their merry bullshit way of penalizing the living shit out of us and giving us SFA penalties in return, we will go straight to the media and expose the biased bullshit that has been going on against us for the past 10 years and put as much pressure on them as possible under the spotlight!!The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!
Here's looking at you, kid.

I am not sure SBW will be missed as much as most supporters think, even though he didn't have a bad season it was nothing like his 2013 form. Our problem in 2014 was getting through the defence of opposing teams which should be fixed by Ferguson even though his best position for us should be fullback. As far as finishing position goes I dont think we are any worse than last year.

Have you ever seen him play fullback?
