I'm surprised that the raiders pack with lazarus, todd, s.walters, coyne, lance and clyde didn't get a top 10 spot. Dominated the league for a few years those raiders, add furner, croker, barnhill and pongia to the mix, and you would have a hell of a forward pack to choose from.
Nice article Mr RLO and welcome to the 'Pen. Naturally, I would argue with the pack rated number one but to do so is essentially moot given the changes in the game over the period of time. Of the modern day forward packs, manly's recent lot could make a claim to being included. Great to see three from Easts in the list.

Teams shouldn't be compared against eras but rather their dominance against opposition in their era. Any team from the 30s would get demolished against the wooden spoon team today. However, going undefeated for three years in the 30s is remarkable in that no team in the past twenty odd years has even gone back to back let alone undefeated.
