The Sydney Roosters have confirmed their trial fixtures as the team continues to prepare and build towards the 2015 NRL Season, with the club featuring in two trial matches against the Penrith Panthers and Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
The club’s first hit out will be the Roosters NSW Cup affiliation side Wyong Roos against the Panthers (2014 NSW Cup Premiers) on February 7 at Morry Breen Oval, Wyong. This will be preceded by the Rosters NYC trial against the Panthers. Entry into the Morry Breen complex for these games is free.
The Roosters’ final trial in lead-up to the season getting underway will be played against the Sea Eagles on February 21 at Central Coast Stadium, Gosford. There will be three grades trialling on the day with the NYC and NSW Cup preceding the NRL. Tickets for these games are on sale now.
“The Central Coast is a region that loves rugby league, and with the Roosters having formed an association with the Wyong Roos and Central Coast Division Rugby League, we’re pleased to be playing our trials in the region,” said Roosters Head Coach, Trent Robinson.
“This will be a great opportunity for us to engage with the community and the trials against some strong competition will be a good test for the squad ahead of the season getting underway,” he added.
The Roosters commence their 2015 campaign at the Auckland Nines Tournament, before returning to prepare for the trials against the Panthers on February 7 and the Sea Eagles on February 21.
