Thanks Bro, I could be wrong I think it was the funeral. She died on a Sunday morning or midday our time. The only reason I remember as was playing touch grand final that morning and won. The Roosters/Norths game I am pretty sure was the following Saturday which when the funeral was held.

        Actually it wasn't.
That was the day of that landslide in Threbo.

Just to clarify, the game Lam kicked the field goal you’re referring to was the qualifying final on September 6 that Easts beat North Sydney 33 – 21.

The week before (Princess Di’s death 31 Aug 1997) in round 22 Easts beat North Sydney 29 -20 and Freddy Fittler kicked a field goal that day.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

No it wasn't , the day Princess Diana died was when we played Norths in the last round on the 31st August when we rested half our team because we had already made the play offs and couldn't improve on our position on the table, we won 29-20 that day.

It was princess Diana's funeral on the day we played the North Sydney Bears in the first week of the 1997 ARL finals series.

Only fools believed you were Trent.
Anyway, I'm interested in your perspective as a Rooster fan rather than hearing how you think the real Robbo feels about things.
                        Welcome 'Trent Robinson'.

Just watching the bears game now. Funny but that first try by Ikin reminded me of a certain Casty no try.

Jason Taylor showed how much of a non-winner he was by kicking three field goals.

Glad he is no longer ag the club.

One thing I definitely don't miss. Sam Perrett high fiving his team mates every time he screws up. Irritating shit..
