I know its only touch footy but a couple of good signs early on in the season:
S.Langi looks like a good bench utility option for next season. Has a very good offload.
B.Elliott looks a lot more bulked up than last season.Comment of the year:
Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,
"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

JFC, those skills u want to see executed better are against 9 players. The teams do not resemble the final 17. And the intensity is 10% of what it should be as nobody wants to get injured.
You cannot expect great handling and combinations. They are blowing the cobwebs out.Embrace the Hate! JC

I still think it's concerning that some of our basic skills were poor .. in the first game our completion rate in the 2nd half was 11% .... all our youngsters were very ordinary. Evans was shite .. elliot looked very poor and williams was very bad. Our D looks good though ... I hope we resign some of our firstys

Our group should have called the pisseasy pool, the baby broncos and the fat dogs probably the worse two teams in this comp. We hardly got out of 2nd gear to already make the quarters.
Hopefully they rest key players in the meaningless sharks game. Not expecting us to win it so a semi final appearance would make a successful competition.

Surely Robbo is holding the side back a bit. RTS barely played either match-his try and one other run is all I remember, Pearce didn't play second match...
Only thing I have taken out of the two games is that Maubs should get first crack at SBW edge and Langi (as previously said) could be bit of X factor for us.

Our bench has a couple spots up for grabs, Napa and Liu have earned their spot on it but there could be some competition for the other two spots. Evans, Hastings, Langi, Kennedy, SST, Papalii and Leilua come to mind.

Its possible that its not a big concern in 8 months... I would have wanted us to be sharper even now personally.
The good news is we are undefeated...despite playing fugly.#We Stand with ourJewish community#
