Meehan won in the 2nd, he was pummelling his American opponent and the ref stopped the fight.

he is looking a lot fitter than last season, seems to have dropped a few kgs.

will be interesting to see if he plays in the trial against the Panthers next weekend.

Fark that I really wanted to see Willis in action, I just got home from work. I thought his fight was on before SBW fight thats how it reads in todays paper.

I hope channel 9 keep having fight nights I reckon it's a top idea.

good to see a few of the Roosters boys out supporting Meehan and SBW.

have seen Cordner/Jenko/SKD and I think Friendy.

channel 9 have been be focussing in on Cordner he looks absolutely hammered.

I can see why it was on free to air. sbw aint no fighter.i have never seen a 2 punch combo as a form of attack followed up by a 2 step retreat. sbw had from round 2 where he could have finished the man boobs fridaynight has been. it was as much of a waiste of time watching the sokka. long live footy, go roosters tomorrow.

I didn't see Willis Meehan fight but I saw him in the ring for the SBW fight & he is actually taller & bigger than SBW, he just looks the goods. He will be in the top 17 IMO & if they go with Maubs Cordner Guerra he will be a perfect interchange replacement in the backrow.
Again IMO Meehan has the potential to do what Boyd Cordner has done so far.
Meehan deadest reminds me of SBW in his early days at the Dogs. Man I reckon he could be anything.

Just on the SBW fight the guy he fought looked like he needed to be on the biggest loser but he showed heaps of courage, unbelievable really that someone of SBW's supreme fitness & time put into the bout training couldn't put the big lad away.

I did not see the SBW the recording finished early for some reason.
I browsed through the fights and in my opinion that was the biggest load of BS crap I have ever seen.
The boxing was bordering on pathetic, the whole thing was a joke. I am no great expert but the technique was below par and it was embarassing.

It should never never happen again.

SBW lost credibility by fighting this bloke with boobs.
Meehan should be judged by what he can do on the field rather than how fit he looks or how big he is compared to SBW.

Totally agree. After the Botha fight, SBW knew he needed inferior opponents who were in it just for the $$$$.

But that's boxing these days. His mate Mundane has done it his entire boxing career!
